(APIs)
1.1 Overview
For Golden RFP; For Solution Handbook
[SO: OXE PURPLE R100 – OT 2.6.1] How can I enable my business line
applications with ALE communication & management services?
ALE International Response:
All customers are different and have different needs of integration with their business
processes or applications. They can create unique solutions, specially tailored for their
business and work habits. These customized solutions drive effective communications,
accelerating business innovation, but they also enhance customer satisfaction.
ALE International offers a large range of Application Programming Interfaces (APIs), to
enable customers and partners to build integrated communications solutions adapted for
the specific needs of different enterprises.
These APIs provide a full set of services, ranging from telephony/call control to Contact
center and vertical applications (PMS or other) interfaces, providing a way to create
valuable integrations such as click-to-call, CRM integrations, centralized management
or specialized/vertical collaboration applications.
ALE flagship API platform called
“OmniPCX Open Gateway” (O2G)
provides telephone, management and
analytics REST APIs in an easy to use
package, through a standalone
application that simplifies vertical
integration and development of customer
centric services, from third party partners
or end-customers. Next to this standalone

For Golden RFP; For Solution Handbook
[SO: OXE PURPLE R100 – OT 2.6.1] Can I integrate my existing SIP telephone
sets to your communication system?
ALE International Response:
The Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) is a simple, open protocol that enables new
multimedia applications for voice, data and video. OmniPCX Enterprise handles SIP

1.4 SIP for carriers (SIP trunking)
For Golden RFP; For Solution Handbook
[SO: OXE PURPLE R100 – OT 2.6.1] Can I rely on SIP at no extra cost with your
offers?
ALE International Response:
SIP trunking can be used for both private trunking (that is third party server connection)
and public trunking towards providers (IP trunking).
Standardized protocols require interoperability testing and certification, as vendors
may implement the standard with slight differences. SIP was standardized at the IETF
(http://datatracker.ietf.org/wg/sip/charter/). ALE International implements the SIP
trunking guidelines provided by industry forums such as SIP Connect
(http://www.sipforum.org/sipconnect).
ALE International contributes to the bodies for standards and industry forums, and is
deeply committed to work with Service Providers all over the world to connect small- and
medium-sized businesses (SMBs) as well as large enterprises to SIP networks.
A list of SIP service providers, currently offer SIP trunking, certified for OpenTouch™ and
OmniPCX™ Enterprise are listed are listed in a specific regularly updated Technical
Bulletin: TC2005 (see: https://businessportal2.alcatel-lucent.com/TC2005en).

2 Ecosystem of certified solutions (DSPP)
For Solution Handbook; For Golden RFP
[SO: OXE PURPLE R100 – OT 2.6.1] Do you offer support and certification for
the development of APIs?
ALE International response
The Alcatel-Lucent Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP) consists in
developing a broad ecosystem to offer to our enterprise customers and Business
Partners a wide choice of solutions. It supports developers and partners throughout the
life-cycle of their application.
The program, designed for application enablement, helps members to:
Develop innovative applications based on advanced APIs and technologies,
Certify and deploy trusted applications maintained over time and multiple releases,
Market their offering and sell joint solutions by increasing market presence and go-to-
market opportunities in all geographical areas and markets
Alcatel-Lucent Developer & Solution Partner Program (DSPP) encompasses following
API HUBs:
Cloud Rainbow Hub: https://hub.openrainbow.com
Communication Hub: https://api.dspp.al-enterprise.com/
Network Hub: https://www.spacewalkers.com
Thus, a third-party application can benefit from any service of above single APIs domain,
but can also mix several domains. As a consequence, it can rely on a hybrid approach,
by mixing CPE APIs (Communication & Network hub) & Cloud ones (Rainbow hub).
Program Participants may have their applications and/or products formally certified to
demonstrate that their application and/or product properly inter-work with platforms
provided by ALE International.
The aim of the Application Certification is to:
Reduce integration costs
Accelerate deployments
Minimize risk of failure
Ensure a high level of trust for customers and business partners
