She was Married to the late Meshack Kavoi Ngonyo of Kitaingo kwa Kyambu. Her husband Me-
shack Kavoi Ngonyo was brother the late Esther Mwelu, the late Laveka Kasule, Loise Kamanthe
Mutiso, the late Abednego Kyenze and John Nzuki Ngonyo.

(Sethi) Muindu and A. Morris Kavoi. They were blessed with 42 grand children,73 great grand chil-
dren and three great-great grand children.

CHRISTIAN LIFE
She was born in a Christian family, Salvation Army Maiani Corpse. She was married in a holy wed-
ding in the same church kwa Kyambu Salvation Army. After marriage, they went for Bible training
where she was the leader of the cohort. Although they did not complete the training , she played a
major role in planting a Salvation Army `Tuo’ at Kalembwani where she was the first Sergeant Major
at the branch. After resettlement in Kiboko Settlement scheme in 1992, she migrated as Anglican
Church member. In Anglican Church, she was a strong member of Mothers Union. She was a very
active member and she would hardly miss to attend the annual Diocesan Mothers Union conference .
The late Rabbeca used to attend Sunday school services at S.T Luke's ACK Nguumo local church
and she taught good morals and gave advice to the youth and Sunday school children. In December
2013, she fell and her leg had a crack near the hip joint. This made her not to attend church but the
church organized home fellowships at her requests and holy communion was brought for her.

ILLNESS
In August 10th 2021, she fell sick and was attended at home but on 13th August 2021, her condition
worsened and she was taken to Makindu Level 4 Sub-County Hospital and she was admitted and di-
agnosed with pneumonia. She was treated and she responded positively to the medication, she was
discharged on Monday 23rd August. The late was doing well and was happy, she could sing her fa-
vorite hymn songs e.g Nukwenda Uvowe Wathe Waku Hymn No.345. This was the last song that
she sung when her grand children from Kajiado visited her on 29th August 2021. On 30th she was
well and no one would guess that it will be Mwaitu’s Last day, the day ended well and after she had
her supper her caregivers requested her to pray so that she can sleep, she told the care givers
`Nimboyie’ little did they know these were her last words. On 31st Tuesday 2021 at 6.00am her
Daughter in-law went to wake her up for break fast as usual and Mwaitu could not respond. Mwaitu
slept peacefully. Mwaitu (mum) you have fought a good fight and you have kept the faith. We love
you mum, rest in Peace. Amen.

song– Her last song of 29/08/2021)
Cha kutumaini sina,
Ila damu yake Bwana,
Sina wema wa kutosha,
Dhambi zangu kuziosha.

Kwake Yesu nasimama,

Ndiye mwamba ni salama,
Ndiye mwamba ni salama,
Ndiye mwamba ni salama.

Njia yangu iwe ndefu,

Yeye hunipa wokovu,
Mawimbi yakinipiga,
Nguvu ndizo nanga.

Damu yake na sadaka,

Nategemea daima,
Yote chini yakiisha,
Mwokozi atanitosha.

Nikiitwa hukumuni,
Rohoni nina amani,
Nikivikwa haki yake,
Sina hofu mbele zake.

REST IN PEACE MWAITU
