What is
Industrial control and monitoring Home automation and consumer electronics Security and military sensing Asset tracking and supply chain management Intelligent agriculture and environmental sensing Health monitoring
NEW industrial alliance providing a standardized base set of solutions for sensor and control systems. Sits on top of the MAC and PHY layers defined by 802.15.4 data protocol. The MAC layer security is based on the AES-128encryption algorithm. Supports two types of devices: full function devices (FFD) and reduced function devices (RFD).

Product Description
ZigBee DevKit 1000 an out of box Zigbee Network. Sensors & line power for operational testing provided. MOTE-KIT2400 for deeply embedded sensor networks. More freedom design but starts from scratch. CC2420DK highly integrated and very flexible low cost solution. Evaluates RF performance of the CC2420. 13192DSK-A00 starter s kit providing all hardware (re-usable), software and sensors. Peer-to-peer and star networks only.
Embers : offers evaluation and development kits between US$4,500 and US$13,950. The EM2420DK is a radio solution and power-efficient radio in its class, with multiple microcontroller interface reference designs. http://www.ember.com/products/chips/em2420.html zigbee products are still in development: the AT86RF210 Z-Link Transceiver and theAT86ZL3201Z-Link Controller. http://www.atmel.com/products/zigbee/

However, there is
another solution available. Freescale offers the 13192DSK Developer's Starter Kit. The kit
includes a pair of ZigBee transceiver boards with two accelerometer sensors (one X-Y axis, one Z-axis) for evaluation purposes.
