The SKAKOTROl printed circuit board with power outlet

To achieve the maximum performance of the filter, it is important to be very

meticulous when installing it, that is to say, short cables

just like a good ground connection. If you want to avoid the use
of unmasking, this is also possible, although in this case there will be
to use another type of filter. This type of filter exists in different
sizes, depending on the load:

35IK10 = 35A - 480V - 50/60 Hz

1.7 Measurement of tension

As the SKAKOTROL creates a pulsating tension, it is very important

so that it is known what is being measured, in order to be able to compare the
measurements. For this purpose, a list has been prepared that shows what

2. Control SKAKOTROL
2.1. Description

2.1.1
The SKAKOTROL printed circuit board is an electronic control,
planned for the control and adjustment of electromagnetic vibrators
SKAKO. With the help of a potentiometer, there is the possibility of
a smooth adjustment of the vibrator.

It is also possible to control the vibrator through a signal.

external 0-20mA or 0-10V. The SKAKOTROL board is stable of
tension within a voltage variation of ±10% of the voltage
nominal plate, with a stability of ±2%. The minimum areas and
maximum voltage ratings of the card are indicated on the type plate
(e.g. SKAKOTROL C400 360-440V)
With the incorporation of the SKAKOPAC control card, it is possible
modify the external control signals to other values. See the
description of the SKAKOPAC control printed circuit board.

The SKAKOTROL is supplied as a complete unit of

control, incluyendo tarjeta SKAKOTROL, relé para on/off, interruptor,
switch, potentiometer, fuses, connection terminals, etc.
In controls, where an external control signal is used, the
switching between potentiometer adjustment and 0- signal adjustment

The SKAKOTROL is supplied well installed in a panel/case.

an existing electrical panel.

regarding the frequency. It is a case of greater variations than
+/-0.5Hz, frequency compensation should be incorporated (see
paragraph 3.4)

2.2.2
In case of removing the potentiometer for the capacity adjustment outside
from the control box the cable must be shielded cable of minimum
3x0.5 mm2The cable is connected to ground at one of its ends with
"short pig-tails" (maximum 2-5cm). In longer cable lengths of
80m, it is necessary to incorporate an isolation amplifier. This
it may also become necessary in cable lengths
younger than 80 meters, which may be due to noise that enters the
cable.

from power failure, this/these must be prepared for
pulsating direct/alternating current (HPFI).

When noise filters are used in power cables

for the SKAKOTROL control, a PFI switch must be used, in
instead of HPFI, since it can produce leakage currents that
exceed 30mA.

IMPORTANT!
Using a remote adjustment potentiometer, the cable between the
potentiometer and the SKAKOSTAT must be shielded cable
of 1.5 mm2(the screen, which only connects to ground in one of
the extremes, it can be e.g. lead cover).

The switch, installed in a box or attached to the supply, is a

special switch, for which the following is made applicable:

commander.
Detention: The command tension is disconnected before the
main tension.

This standard must be complied with. That is, the ON/OFF regulation
It should not take place in the main tension.

If the aforementioned switch is not used, the adjustment

ON/OFF must be conducted as a sample in a diagram, since the
connection and disconnection of the network voltage can destroy the
electronic control.

2.4 Testing and debugging

The SKAKOTROL printed circuit board for 50/60Hz exists with
one or two incorporated thyristors. This depends on the type of vibrator.
In control systems with SKAKOTROL card for vibrators

sketch of the SKAKOTROL card, the components, that only

c) If the bulb emits a very strong light throughout the adjustment of

in this case we recommend changing the circuit board

the thyristors/triacs are located on an external board of
cooling, these must be changed.

d) If the lightbulb does not turn on – that is, if the output voltage

The reason for this can be found in the following way:

e) Check the power supply and the fuses.

f) Check the plug connection of the printed circuit board.

3.CHECKMATE

3.1 Description
SKAKOPAC is a control and adjustment card for installation in the
SKAKOTROL.

A complete SKAKOPAC includes the following functions:

1. Fitting curves
2. Frequency curves.
3. Compensation for cable length.
4. Collective control.

3.2 Installation of the SKAKPAC

First, it is checked whether the SKAKOPAC can be used in the
SKAKOTROL. Then the bridge is removed from the socket of
SKAKOTROL, and the SKAKOPAC is installed with the card holder
attached.
3.3 Adjustment curves
It is used to change the input signal from the potentiometer.
from adjustment/0-20mA/0-10V to another form of curve.

The data for these curves is located in the Eprom 'Set-point',

that can contain up to 16 curves.

The following curves are always fixed:

No. 0: No change in the signal.

No. 1-15: Specific curves of the client/machine.

3.4 Frequency compensation

The SKAKO vibrating machines equipped with vibrators
electromagnetic are tuned for operation in a
specific frequency of the network, 50 or 60 Hz. Variations of more than
+0.5Hz can cause the destruction of the machine. While
a deviation greater than -0.5Hz means a significant
decrease in the machine's capacity.

The frequency compensation curves are intended for

operation within the frequencies 49-55Hz or 59-64Hz. If the
if the frequency exceeds these limits, the machine may break down,
in case of continuous operation. If the frequency is below
16
056189E
2/10 - 09

from these limits, the machine's capacity decreases in a way

important.
The size of the frequency compensation curve depends on the
vibration machine.
Therefore, it is necessary to indicate the type number of the machine to the
time to request a frequency compensation. After that, SKAKO
They will inform you about which curve numbers should be used.

The incorrect selection of the fitting curves can destroy the

3.5 Compensation of cable length

The piston race in electromagnetic vibrators, and with it,

capacity decreases linearly the longer the cable is
between the SKAKOTROL control and the electromagnetic vibrator. The
The square and the conductive material of the cable also influence this.
For this reason, SKAKO recommends that the control be located as close as possible.
possible of the vibrator (see point 3.7.5–SKAKOTROL).
Since it is not always possible to meet the values
recommended in point 3.7.5 (SKAKOTROL), there is the possibility
to compensate for other lengths of cable.
This is done using four bridges placed in the socket of the
SKAKOPAC (see the map of SKAKOPAC). These bridges
They can be combined in 16 different ways.
17
056189E
2/10 - 09

In the following pages, it is described how these are adjusted for

the different vibrators with cable lengths and square
corresponding.
Once the bridges are adjusted, the number of the vibrator is read in the
data plate. Then SKAKO can provide them with the course of the
piston. Next, the vibrator is started at 100%, and it is controlled.
that the piston stroke not be greater than what has been reported
SKAKO.
If the piston stroke is greater than indicated, the vibrator stops.
and the SKAKOPAC is encoded to a shorter cable length.
Then the piston race is checked again.

NOTE The incorrect selection of cable length compensation

it can cause the destruction of the vibrator. SKAKO, in this case,
disclaims all responsibility.
