THE AUTHOR

In the New Adventist Encyclopedia, Kayle B. de Waal wrote

a portrait of the author of this work. Louis Fitzroy Were
(April 29, 1989 - April 2, 1967) was a pastor,
evangelist and author who worked for the Adventist Church
Seventh-day in Australia and New Zealand from 1919 until
1943.

Origin

On November 11, 1915, he married Jessie Blanche.

Henderson, daughter of Alfred Neville and Mary (Duance) Henderson.
Jessie Duance was born on February 12, 1895, in Brighton,
South Australia. They worked as colporteurs in 1915 and 1916.
before attending the Missionary College of Australia in 1917 and
He graduated from the missionary course in 1918.

His Ministry

Louis Were joined the Adventist work in 1919, working in

the south of New Zealand until 1921. The Were had a
daughter, Nancy May, on March 14, 1922. Was ordered to

ministry in January 1923. He worked in southern Australia of

1927 to 1928, in Victoria from 1928 to 1936, in the north of New
Southerly Gales from 1936 to 1940, and in South Australia from 1940 to
1943.
Jessie Were died of cancer in Torrens Park, South Australia.
January 6, 1942. She was buried in the cemetery of
Dudley Park. On January 25, 1943, Louis married Alma
Belle Preuss in Auburn, Victoria. Alma was born on November 5.
from 1903, and had graduated in Avondale as an instructor
biblical.
Shortly after their marriage, a report arrived for the leaders.

south of Australia to settle the rumor. Consequently, on the 9th of
March 1943, the executive committee of the Southern Association of

W. M. R. Scragg appealed to the Australian Union Committee without
success.

he had achieved. He was theologically ahead of his time.

One of these principles was that "the things of Israel now
belong to the church." In other words, the promises of the covenant
made to Israel in the Old Testament must be
reinterpreted in the context of the new people of God,

ROME CONQUERS MOSCOW AND WASHINGTON

Both the Vatican and the Kremlin strive to dominate the

world. The Seventh-day Adventists, guided by the
prophecies of the Word of God and the light of the Spirit of prophecy,
they know the outcome. The prophetic finger points to Rome and Europe,
backed by the great power of Protestant America as
the dominant world powers until the last hours of the
earthly history. Rome 'will regain its lost supremacy', 'the
prophecy predicts a restoration of its power" (Great Controversy,
pages 579-581). "The world is full of storms, wars and
variations. However, under one head, the papal power,
people will unite to oppose God in the person of his
"Witnesses" (7 Testimonies, page 182). "The Protestants
they will work on the rulers of the earth to make laws that
restore the lost ascendancy of the man of sin ... The
Roman Catholic principles will be taken under the care and the
state protection.

its influence and increase its power in preparation for a
fierce and determined conflict to regain control of the
world, restore the pursuit and undo everything that the

Surely a clearer language could not be used than
these explicit statements of the Holy Scripture: 'And all the
world [after the wound of the beast has been
completely healed] will be amazed at the beast" (Revelation

they worship the first beast ... telling those who dwell in
the earth ... that all who do not worship the image of the beast
they are murdered. And it causes everyone, both small and

["the inhabitants of the earth","all the countries of the world","all"]
the parts of the world will follow the example of the States
United "by forcing consciousness and making men honor
the false Saturday. For them we are guided in our
interpretation of the prophecies that represent 'the conflict'
final". By them we can reach the obvious conclusion that the
Communist Russia and its satellites will not be able to (before the closure of the

Futurism tarnishes the message of the third

ANGEL AND EVITA A CLEAR UNDERSTANDING OF THE

CURRENT GLOBAL CONDITIONS.

Many have undoubtedly always believed something similar to this,

although it is possible that not everyone has discerned the implication
complete. Sometimes, when lacking a definitive outline of a certain
belief, it is possible to hold two ideas that, at first, they
they contradict each other. For example, some who believe in the
immortality of the soul, they boast in the thought that when
to die the soul is freed from the body and, however, also
they teach the resurrection, when the soul will join once again with
body. Some believe that when people die, they go to heaven
to be with Christ, but they also believe in the second coming
of Christ for His people. Some believe that God is love, but
they still teach the horrors of an eternal hellfire and the
perpetual sufferings of the unsaved. Others believe in being
free from the law and boast of not being under the law but under the

WILL THERE BE WAR BETWEEN RUSSIA AND THE STATES

The interpreters of prophecy are not designated to be

prophets: nowhere in the prophecies are we informed about
Russia at war with the United States, we are not even informed about
Russia or any other specific nation that participates in the
war with any other nation. The Bible was not written for

and evil until 'the final conflict' about Saturday. We are

BRIEF TRIUMPH OF ROME OVER COMMUNISM

A global war involving Roman Catholicism and the

Soviet communism is now being waged with greater intensity. These
Two great forces are battling for world supremacy.
Today men talk about the alternatives like 'Rome or'
"Moscow", "the Vatican or the Kremlin, Rome or Russia".

The similarity between these contending powers is remarkable:

both are totalitarian and both aim at nothing less than the
world domination; both are intolerant; each one believes
that is aimed at achieving its objective, and each one is
promoting their philosophies with the zeal of the Crusaders. In everything
In the world, millions of men and women fight in the ranks of
these conflicting ideologies, and the competition becomes more
ferocious and the armies grow larger over time.
Every day, humanity gets closer to the brink of a
crisis of major magnitude, a crisis that produces the results
more transcendent; a crisis that involves the whole world
in general and to the seventh-day Adventists in particular; a
crisis that, according to the prophetic Word, must occur before the
closure of grace.
It is regrettable that for unsuspecting Protestants such
problems are not clear. Communism is inextricably
interwoven with Russian imperialism, and Roman Catholicism is
inseparable from the so-called 'Christian civilization'. Russia affects
vital to Protestant countries, and the circumstances compel
to the Protestant powers to act as partners of Rome against
Russia. Many prominent personalities have referred to the

current danger of "Christian civilization". Mr. Winston

THE INCREDIBLE ACCURACY OF THE SPIRIT OF

PROPHECY

The remarkable accuracy of the statements made by the

THE UNIVERSAL DECREE OF DEATH

Let us note the following statements from the pen of the servant of
Mister:
The wrath of man will be especially awakened against those who
sanctify the Sabbath of the fourth commandment; and, finally, a
universal decree will denounce them as deserving of death
(Prophets and Kings, page 512).
Satan is working hard to make himself like God and
destroy all those who oppose his power" (6 Testimonies,

THE TIME FOR THE EXECUTION OF THE DECREE OF

DEATH

The decree of death upon all who refuse to bow down

before the image of the beast is issued just before it is closed

POLITICAL CONDITIONS FOR THE DECREE OF

DEATH

The Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy were not written

simply to provide information on political topics: everything
what we learn about national events is provided for
consider the prophetic profile of the experiences of the people of
God. But after considering everything it can

there are some details left regarding the political conditions that
they will prevail when certain prophecies related to the church
