Location of Remotely Recorded Video Remotely recorded video is stored on your computers hard drive in a structured hierarchy using the IP address of the system, the camera name, and the date the video was recorded. For example, video remotely recorded on October 8, 2005 from the Main Entrance PTZ camera on the Aurora 1 system is located in the following directory: C:\dsr-video\remote\10.2.1.181\Main Entrance PTZ\20051008 1. 2. Controlling P/T/Z Cameras with Remote Station Make sure you are viewing the P/T/Z camera you want to control, then click the P/T/Z button (the third button in the upper-right of the view). Click the folder button next to the P/T/Z button to open the Advanced P/T/Z Control window. Youll want this open to be able to change speed quickly. To move the P/T/Z camera, place your mouse over the image until the mouse pointer changes into an arrow pointing in the direction you want to move. Hold the let mouse button down to move the camera in that direction, then release to stop. NOTE: During periods of heavy network use, the P/T/Z camera can be slow to respond and may move farther than you intend. We recommend you let go of the mouse button just BEFORE you reach the area you want the camera to end up at. If the camera still moves too far, drag the PTZ Speed slider to the left a little and try to move the camera again. To zoom in or out, place the mouse in the center of the camera view, so that it turns into a magnifying glass. Hold down the left mouse button to zoom in, or hold down the right mouse button to zoom out. To release control of the P/T/Z camera after you are done using it, close the Advanced P/T/Z Control window, then click the P/T/Z button again.

About Machine Names The Remote Station stores video from each system in separate folders. Each system has a special name, called a machine name, that is 4. unique to that system. For FedEx Freight systems, the machine name is an A, 5. followed by the location code (such as AUR for Aurora), followed by VIDEO, followed by the number of the system. For example, the third system at Elmhurst has the machine name AELHVIDEO3.
