Introduction
There are so many institutes and organizations in India which are involved in entrepreneurship development activities and there are people who join these programs as stepping stone to become entrepreneur.

N.I.E.S.B.U.D.
NIESBUD is an apex institute in the area of entrepreneurship and small business development under the Ministry of micro, small & medium enterprises Government of India. The basic objects for which the Institute has been established are : promotion and development of micro, small and medium enterprises including enhancement of their competitiveness through different activities.
Micro,Small & Medium EnterprisesDevelopment Institute (MSME-DI)
It is under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, has been playing a key role for development of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises through counseling, consultancy and training.
National Small Industries Corporation Ltd. (NSIC)
It is an ISO 9001-2008 certified Government of India Enterprise under Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME). NSIC has been working to fulfill its mission of promoting, aiding and fostering the growth of small industries and industry related micro, small and medium enterprises in the country
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII)
The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDI), an autonomous body and not-for-profit institution, set up in 1983, is sponsored by apex financial institutions, namely the IDBI Bank Ltd, IFCI Ltd. ICICI Ltd and State Bank of India (SBI).
SMALL INDUJSTRIES DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION
SIDO helps in giving technical and managerial imputs, making project reports and training entrepreneurs of small scale industries. It maintains a close contact with financial and training institutions, Government and other agencies for the promotion and development of small industrial units. It undertakes entrepreneurship development wherein the training and managerial capabilities are developed.

Reality at present
The present growth and success of EDPs in backward areas is far from satisfactory. It is observed that efforts made by various institutions have been limited and somewhat haphazard. The programes conducted by various agencies vary in duration, selection process and course contents etc. the contribution of EDPs has been very uneven among various areas and states.

Lack of co-ordination. Inappropriate support system. Costly affair Not catered to our needs Lack of innovative functions Improper selection of projects Poor financial management. Non-availability of inputs.

Shortage of technical manpower. Unsatisfactory infrastructure facilities. Delays in project implementation. Multiplicity of government agencies.
Conclusion
Such institutions play catalytic role in entrepreneurship development. Entrepreneurial development in India has been now conducted for a long time, and sophisticated selection techniques and training methodology have been developed. The programme integrates identification and training of potential entrepreneurs, identification of viable industrial projects and developing managerial capabilities.

Hence entrepreneurship education should be made more socially useful. It is, nevertheless, imperative to restructure the entire curriculum- should identify the area of entrepreneurship. Efforts are needed to be made to overcome the discussed problems and weaknesses of our country and to ensure efficient EDPs to serve the entrepreneurial need of the entire nation.
