Nemo Outdoor Measurement Configuration
Manual / Automated Mode
Nemo Outdoor supports manual and automated mode.
Manual mode is based on the user establishing a data transfer connection or
making voice calls.
-
This mode is useful, when user wants to make a single continuous data
transfer session or a voice call to monitor the resource allocation and cell
reselection performance.
This mode requires the user to control phones with Nemo Outdoor. The
user should NOT use the mobile keyboard to establish voice calls or data
calls.
Automated mode is based on scripts that establish data transfer connections or
voice calls on behalf of the user and can repeat the same or different sessions for a
defined period of time. Scripts can be saved and edited. Script files can be, quickly
and easily built with the Script Editor.

Manual Measurement Configuration
Information on this tab should be filled in when doing
Manual Measurement. (Press Properties)
Voice Number defines the phone number to which
voice calls will be made.
Data Number defines the phone number for data
calls, user name and password for service, etc.
PDP Context Properties defines used APN for Packet
data connection
Data Protocol defines whether FTP or UDP is used
for data transfer
ICMP Ping Properties defines Ping settings, like Ping
address and size of Ping data
Manual Measurement Control
Measurement can be done from Mobiles
Control Panel or from Measurement menu
by selecting the appropriate mobile
Automatic Measurement
Measurements can be automatically repeated by predefined number of times
Voice calls, data calls, attach, PDP activation, FTP, Web browsing, SMS, MMS, launch of
external application, Ping sessions, etc. can be included in automatic measurement

Number defines the
number to be called
Call Duration determines
the time that the call lasts
in seconds
Call Attempt Timeout value
determines the maximum
duration of the call
attempt. After that, the
call attempt is considered
to be failed.

PS Script Configuration
Host Name: IP address of the FTP server
used.
Username: username for the FTP server.
Password: password for the FTP server.
Passive Mode: Some firewalls may be
configured to refuse any incoming
connection requests, and in that case the
data transfer would fail. With passive
mode, the client always opens those new
connections so the firewall does not block
the connection.
Direction: Receive downloading; Send
uploading
Remote File: File @ FTP Server
Local File: File @ Testing laptop
PS Script Configuration
URL: IP address of the test file that will
be downloaded. For example,

Script Enhancements
Possibility to synchronize scripts
repeats between devices for
benchmarking measurements.
Improved wait function allows
waiting for notifications during
script measurements.
Option to use measurement
settings configured for manual
testing during script
measurements.
Event Trigger Notifications
By clicking the Notifications sheet, you
can access the Notifications dialog box
Select the Events that you would like to
be notified of and also select whether the
notification will be a textual note in the
Output window, a sound (.wav file), or a
bitmap
Own notifications can be created for
different situations, like bad quality
example below, in Configuration tool
