A cabinet need the following external power cables:
Two external -48V power cables (blue, 25mm2) connecting to the cabinet

Confirm that the switch of the tributary, through which PDF provides
power to the BSC6000 cabinet, is set to OFF.
Confirm that all switches on the power distribution box of the BSC6000
cabinet are set to OFF.
Use a multimeter to test the voltage of -48v input terminal1 and -48v input
terminal2 of the power distribution box. If the voltage is over 0.1v, then
if the distribution cables are correct, the PDF power supply switch is
invalid, so please replace the power supply switch.
If the distribution cables are incorrect, connect the cables again.
Set the power supply switch corresponding to PDF to ON.
Measure the input voltage of the BSC6000 cabinet. The voltage should
ranges between -57V and -40V.
Set the power distribution switch corresponding to PDF to OFF.

A service cabinet need be installed with only subracks.
Notes of installation:
Before installing internal components of the cabinet, set all power supply
switches on the power distribution box of the cabinet to OFF.
During installation, ensure that all rack-mounting ears are orderly and that
there are equal distances between components, equal distances between
components and blank panels, and equal distances between blank
panels, and avoid any too big distance.

A BSC6000 cabinet need be installed with the following signal cables:

Network cable (including GSCU interconnect network cable and
other network cables)
Y-shape clock cable
Trunk cable (including trunks cables of the Abis, Ater, A, and Pb
interface)

Layout Principles of Signal Cables
Because a large amount of cables need be distributed in a BSC6000 cabinet, comply
with the layout principles when performing capacity expansion and distributing cables to
avoid waste of the cabling space and affect of the subsequent capacity expansion. The
principles of capacity expansion are as follows:
Add cabinets from left to right (when facing the rear of the cabinets)
Add subracks from bottom to top
Add boards from the middle to two sides
In the upward cabling or downward cabling mode, distribute cables in the same
sequence and the principle is as follows:
All cables coming out of the front of the cabinet are distributed at the front of the
cabinet and all cables coming out of the rear of the cabinet are distributed at the
rear of the cabinet.
When distributing cables at the front of the cabinet, first distribute signal cables from
the GSCU board and then distribute signal cables from the GGCU board. No
sequence is required to distribute other signal cables.
When distributing cables at the rear of the cabinet, first distribute trunk cables and
then distribute optical fibers.

Notes
Notes about the installation
When distributing signal cables, do not destroy the jacket of the
signal cables.
If a signal cable need be pulled out, hold its connector instead of
pulling the cable, so that the signal cable is not damaged.
The manual describes only the installation method. To determine the
actual installation positions of the cables, comply with the
requirements concluded by the survey and refer to the data
configuration scheme.

Installing Trunk Cables
Distribute trunk cables according to the following orders:
Distribute trunk cables from the bottom subrack to the top subrack in the same
cabinet.
Distribute trunk cables from the middle to the side boards in the same subrack.
Distribute trunk cables leftwards from Slot 20 to Slot 27 and rightwards from Slot
19 to Slot 14.
Distribute trunk cables from the bottom DB44 interface to the top DB44 interface
on the same board.
Interconnect trunk cables of different equipment according to the following principles:
Connect the TX of trunk cable E1 at the BSC6000 side to the RX of E1 of the peer
equipment.
Connect the RX of trunk cable E1 at the BSC6000 side to the TX of E1 of the peer
equipment.
Decide which pair of E1 at the BSC6000 side interconnects to which pair of E1 of
the peer equipment according to the specific data configuration.
Before interconnecting different types of cables, for example 75ohm coaxial cable
and 120ohm twisted pair, use multiplexers or tielines to transduce the impedance.

Hardware installation check includes the following items:

Check before power-on
Check and ensure that no board is inserted in the slots on the backplane.
Power on the power distribution box and check.
Power on the cabinet
After ensuring that the cabinet is powered off, use a multimeter to test the
resistance of each power wire post on the cabinet top and grounding wire posts to
check for short circuit.
After ensuring that all switches of the power distribution box above the cabinet are
turned to OFF. When the power supply switch of the tributary, through which PDF
supplies power to the BSC6000 cabinet, is in no-load mode, use a multimeter to
check whether the output voltage of PDF is in the required voltage scope (-57V~40V). At the moment, the RUN indicator on the power distribution box should blink.
When PDF normally works, turn the switches of the power distribution box to ON
one by one and use a multimeter to check whether the output voltage of the power
distribution box is in the required voltage scope (-57V~-40V).

Power On and Check
Power on and check each module in the cabinet:
Check whether the fan can normally work.
Check and ensure that no board is inserted in the slots.
Turn all the power supply switches, which control the subrack power, on the power
distribution box to ON.
Turn on the power switches of modules such as the server and KVM one by one to
check whether the equipment can normally work.
Check the power supply state of the components inside the cabinet.
Power on and check boards:
Turn all the power supply switches, which control the subrack power, on the power
distribution box to ON.
Insert the boards one by one.
Note: Check the boards indicator after inserting a board. Insert the next board only
if the indicator is normal.
If a board is abnormal, turn off the power switches, remove all inserted boards,
and confirm the cause of the fault.

Check the Environment Sanitation of the Site
Do not pile up packages and boards in the equipment room in a
disorderly way, but put them neatly in the equipment room.
Do not leave cable ties or any other thing in the cabling rack (trough), at
the cabinet bottom, or around the cabinet.
Do not leave cable ties or any other thing below the raised floor. After
installation is complete, restore the raised floor to keep it smooth and
clean.

Prepare for the Installation of OMU Software
Obtain the installation information (make records in the Installation Information Record
Table)
The root user of GBAM server: The root user name is root and the initial password
is 11111111.
Samba user name: The initial user name is bsc6000 and the initial password is
11111111.
The initial IP of the server: At the initial state, no setting is made for the four network
cards. It is necessary to obtain the internet IP, subnet mask, and default gateway,
which are to be allocated for the GBAM server.

Software Installation Manual)

Install the OMU Software
Use the following two methods to install the OMU software:
When being not at the deployment site, install the OMU software through
the network.
When being at the deployment site, run the disk of OMU software in the
disk drive of the GBAM server to install the OMU software.
Install the OMU software by running the disk
Put the OMU install disk in the disk drive of the GBAM server.
Log into the GBAM server as root user.
Type in the cd /media/cdrom command and change the current directory
to /media/cdrom.
Type in the rpm -ivh omu-9.1-1.i586.rpm command.
Type in the omuctrl cfg command. Configure the network interface
according to the prompt and start the OMU software.
Type in the omuctrl status command. Check the operating state of the
OMU software to ensure that the installation is complete.

Download BSC board software
Copy the complete set of issued software to the directory
Common\SWM\Software of LMT.
Log into the BSC6000 local maintenance terminal, in the menu
select BSC software > BSC software maintenance > Download
software and finish downloading according to instructions of the
wizard.
Query software information in the OMU version area.
Notes
If the downloading fails, restart and download again.
Give English names to the downloaded files.
Halt of the downloading does not affect the whole downloading
process.

Copy the BTS version software to HW LMT\Common.
Log into the BSC6000 local maintenance terminal, in the menu select BTS maintenance
> Download BTS software, and finish software downloading according to instructions of
the wizard.
Notes
BTS board software support only the file name with .bin or .hex as its suffix.
Do not change the file name of BTS board software.
If on the GBAM server, a files name is the same as the downloaded file, the file on the
GBAM server will be overwritten. The system gives no prompt about the overwriting. So it
is recommended to make backup of the files on the GBAM server before downloading to
avoid data loss.
If the downloading state is waiting for download, wait for the response from the FTP
server.
In the downloading process, if the downloading of a file is halted the files following
continues to be downloaded. If the downloading process is existed midway, the file
currently being downloaded will be downloaded, but the files following will not be
downloaded.

Preliminary Acceptance Test
Prepare for the preliminary acceptance test
Before the preliminary acceptance test (PAT), the engineering supervisor makes the following
preparation:

Submit the Preliminary Acceptance Test Application Report to the customer
Understand the customers special requirements about the PAT, and confirm the schedule and
items of the PAT.
Check whether the customer has required necessary tools, test instruments and meters.

The engineering supervisor and the customer organize the PAT. The customer manager,
service manager, or project manager of the region can participate in the PAT.
After the PAT passes, hand over project completion documents to the customer. Fill in the
Document Handover List and have the customer sign on the list to confirm.
After the PAT is complete, have the customer sign or stamp on the Equipment Installation
Report and the Certificate of Preliminary Acceptance.

Cooperate with the customer to work out the Cutover Scheme according to the

operators are required for those important steps.

lower than 80% by MM-DD XX:00, unconditionally back off the cutover.
