INTRODUCTION
SHILPI & company is small scale enterprise involved in
production of cosmetic prostheses & mannequins artificial
limbs like hand, legs, foot, nose, ears etc.
Mr. Patil owner of SHILPI and Company applied for the loan of
Rs.85000 to Mr. Hopkins, manager, Piketi branch, Baroda of
Kamini bank in 1978.
Mr.Patil is a qualified & well known sculptor of Baroda. He has
diploma in sculpture from MS University.

He has a good working experience in medical industry &
cosmetic prostheses.
He started experimenting with a replica of hand in wax and
then proceeded in making PVC plastic to make a realistic
human hand. Also in mid-1975, he provided first indigenous
cosmetic hand to a patient.
He attempted side business in many fields, like mannequin,
artificial limbs, cosmetic hands but due to scarcity of funds
he could not achieve success in any of those.

the essence of it by using R & D.
Efficient marketing strategy helps him to earn good margin of

He should submit the quality check report to the health
ministry for securing government orders.

Make Recommendations
Mr. Patil should try to collaborate with government for
obtaining bulk orders.
He should manage his resources in efficient manner.
He should take more focus on his manpower.
He may produce variety of products as he uses multipurpose
indigenous machine which is designed by him.
