Nikhil 1st Review

This document describes a project to develop a prototype wireless device controller using 6LowPAN that can be monitored and controlled via cloud services. The objectives are to enable internet connectivity for devices and establish wireless communication between nodes. The methodology, timeline, hardware used, and 6LowPAN and CoAP protocols are described. Once developed, the system will allow monitoring and controlling of connected devices over the internet in an energy efficient manner.

Description
This project is a technology which can be explored to enable a
system to cloud connectivity. CC2538 will acts as a generic
hardware which can be used to enable IOT to any system which
requires monitoring and control using contiki OS. The hardware
will accept the sensor value and use 6LowPAN protocol to
transmit wirelessly to other nodes. RPL routing protocol can be
established if there is many nodes in the wireless sensor
networks. CoAP application protocol which is the last layer of
6lowpan stack enables internet accessibility . IPv6 protocols are
used in the hardware since ipv6 provides a large number of node
connectivity to the internet. The packet sniffer USB available with
the CC2538 hardware will sniff the datas which was transmitted
via cc2538 nodes. Using wireshark software the payload can be
obtained. IBM cloud connectivity or thingsquare demo cloud can
be used to connect the devices to internet.

Novelty/Comparison/Uniqueness

Internet of things have been evolved in recent times and researches are
going on in this field. We have employed a 6Lowpan wireless technology
which have many advantages over other wireless technologies will add
up the benefits of IOT technology. This technology will be a generic one
which enables every devices to internet. Contiki OS is used in the
system which will make the system energy efficient since the nodes will
be battery powered.
