INTRODUCTION
LTE
will be internet protocol (IP) based, providing
higher throughput, broader bandwidth, and better
handoff while ensuring seamless services across
covered areas with multimedia support.
Dimensioning, which is a process of finding
possible configurations and the amount of
network equipment needed for an operators
coverage, capacity, quality of service, area type,
and radio propagation requirements.

contd
Specifically
dimensioning activities involve
radio link budget and coverage analysis,
capacity calculation, and an estimation on the
amount of sites, base station hardware, radio
network controllers, equipments at different
interfaces, and core network elements,
including circuit switched domain and packet
switched (IPbased) domain core network.

This
work will propose best dimensioning
algorithms applied, not only optimizes the
radio network but also helps improve the QoS
of the LTE network and minimize the mobile
operators investment in their networks

LITERATURE REVIEWS
Neruda,
M. and Bestak, R. (2008) summarizes the
evolution path from GSM, UMTS to IMS from the
aspect of network entities so that service providers will
be able to progressively migrate from GSM to UMTS
and IMS. Shalak, R. et al (2004) make a qualitative
study of the performance of UMTS core network, in
which equipment of multiple vendors of UMTS CN is
compared

METHODOLOGY
Data
collection and analysis method is used
For this work Data of Existing network is
collected and simulation and coverage results
are analyzed, followed by drive testing.
The results of field measurements are
compared against the simulation model
results, and the model is tuned for
performance optimization.
