Eim NC II Pipe Bending

The document describes the parts and operation of a hydraulic pipe bender. It has a frame that holds rollers to position the pipe for bending. A bottle jack uses hydraulic oil to lift a die and bend the pipe when pumped. The operation involves placing the pipe between adjusted rollers, pumping the bottle jack with a handle to bend the pipe to the desired angle, then releasing the screw to remove the bent pipe. The hydraulic pipe bender is useful for consistently bending pipes to various angles.

PARTS OF HYDRAULIC PIPE

BENDER

OPERATION OF A HYDRAULIC
PIPE BENDER
1. Jack in its upright position.
Make sure that there is room
on all sides of the Pipe Bender
for the length of pipe you
intend to bend.
Place the unit on a solid, flat,
level surface capable of
supporting the weight of the Pipe
Bender, pipes, and all other tools
and accessories.
The Pipe Bender must always be
clamped or bolted down to the
workbench when used with a
workbench.

2. Select the Bending Die that
matches the size of pipe you
wish to bend. Each Die is
stamped with the pipe size.
Place the selected bending
Die onto the Bottle Jack

3. Measure the length
of the pipe with a
tape measure where
you need the bend
to be and then slide
the pipe into place
between the rollers
and the saddle.

4. The Rollers need to
be adjusted so that the
top of the pipe to be
bent rests against the
bottom of the Rollers.
Pipe can be bent from
a shallow curve up to
a 90 angle, depending
on the position of the
Rollers and the level of
the Bottle Jack Saddle
before operation

7. When the pipe has been
bent to the desired
angle, remove the
Handle from the Pump
Sleeve and use it to loosen
the Valve Release Screw
up to one full turn. This will
release the pipe from the
Pipe Bender and allow you
to carefully remove it.
