Rugby: By: Volker Patrick Jarvis (Yes, I'm On Facebook)

Rugby is a sport played between two teams of 15 players using an oval ball. It originated in England in the 19th century and has since spread around the world. In Germany, rugby first emerged in the late 1800s but saw many ups and downs over the 20th century due to World Wars and division of the country. While Germany did not qualify for recent Rugby World Cups, the national team has improved and focuses on continuing development in the future.
