Bachelor of Engineering: "Intelligent Braking System"

This document summarizes a presentation on an intelligent braking system for vehicles. The system uses RFID tags and a reader to detect road signals and hazards. It aims to warn drivers through a microcontroller when it identifies speed bumps, sharp turns or other hazards tagged with RFID. The system was presented by four students to their professor and fulfills objectives of developing safer automobiles with more electrical parts for efficient operation and detecting critical road zones in advance through RFID tagging. It works by assigning RFID codes to road signals and uses ultrasonic sensors and an RFID reader module installed in vehicles.

QUESTION 1
How many of you can drive car?

QUESTION 2
How many of you can see the speed
breakers, sharp turn & various Road
signals while driving in rainy season ?
Abstract
The protocol was developed aiming at automotive
applications. Today CAN have gained wide spread use
and is used in industrial automation as well as in
automotives and mobile machines
Advanced invehicle information systems provide
vehicles with different types and levels of
intelligence to assist the driver.
All this means more safety and more comfort for the
driver & passangers.
Problem Statement

Road Mishap

Navigation
Project Objectives
The main purposes of Present Automobiles are being
developed by more of electrical parts for efficient
operation.
The vehicle can detect the speed breaker & some
critical zones before the certain limitation by tags
using RFID module
The proposed high-speed CAN bus system solves the
problem of automotive system applications, also has
a certain practical value and significance.
WORKING PRINCIPLE
Assigning the RFID code to each and every
symbol road signal.
Installing the RFID reader module in the car.
RFID reader identifies the RFID tags assign to
road signals.
This reader warn the driver about signal through
microcontroller.
Hardware & Software
Requirements
PIC18F Microcontroller
LCD
ULTRASONIC SENSORS
RFID MODULE
MPLAB & mikroC COMPILER
Embedded C or Assemble Language Programming
