Pulse

This document discusses how to take a pulse, including the locations to check a pulse on the human body. It explains that feeling a pulse involves compressing an artery against a bone to detect the pressure wave produced by the heart with each contraction. Taking a pulse can provide important medical information about factors like heart rate, regularity, and strength. The six main places to check the pulse are the carotid, radial, brachial, popliteal, femoral, and pedal pulses. Various medical conditions and other factors can affect the pulse.
