What is iOS ?
The iOS is the operating system that runs the iPhone, iPod
touch, and iPad. It's the core software that comes loaded on all
devices to allow them to run and support other apps. The iOS is
to the iPhone what Windows is to PCs or Mac OS X is to Macs.
This article is a history of each version of the iOS when it was
released, and what it added to the platform.
Programming language of iOS
Swift is a general purpose, multiparadigm, compiled programming
language developed by Apple Inc. for iOS, macOS, watchOS, tvOS,
and Linux. Swift is designed to work with Apple's Cocoa and Cocoa
Touch frameworks and the large body of extant Objective-C (ObjC)
code written for Apple products. It is built with the open
source LLVM compiler framework and has been included
in Xcode since version 6. On platforms other than Linux, it uses the
Objective-C runtime library which allows C, Objective-C, C++ and
Swift code to run within one program.
