Seminer Report On Mobile Iptv

This document discusses mobile IPTV, including what it is, its architecture, and technical challenges. Mobile IPTV allows video or TV broadcasts over the internet to be viewed on mobile devices. It can use different approaches like mobile TV plus IP, IPTV plus mobile, cellular, or internet. Key challenges include limited terminal capabilities, bandwidth, wireless links, dynamic environments, and ensuring quality of service and experience across devices. Future work aims to develop more sophisticated network architectures and optimize resource allocation for large-scale mobile IPTV systems.

IPTV-
the re-invention of Television
What is IPTV
. It is a technology that delivers video or
TV broadcasts over the Internet.
Internet TV, in simple terms, is video
and audio delivered over an Internet
connection. It’s also known as Internet
Protocol Television, or IPTV.
You can watch Internet TV on a
computer screen, a television
screen(through a set-top box) or a
mobile device like a cell phone
What is Mobile IPTV

 Video or TV broadcasts
over the Internet on Mobile
Devices.
 Transmit and receive
Multimedia traffic-TV,
video, audio, through IP
based Wireless Networks.
 Using IP based services
including IPTV anywhere
on earth.

 IPTV plus Mobile Approach.
 Cellular approach.
 Internet Approach
Mobile TV plus IP approach

 Traditional Design broadcast networks to deliver IP

based broadband data services.
 Combines broadcasting services and Internet.
 Audio/Video Services to be delivered to and through
the Mobile device via IP networking.
 May incur the loss of individuality on IP.
IPTV plus Mobile Approach
 IPTV beyond fixed terminals such as Set top Boxes.
 Provides mobility and wireless characteristics to IPTV.
 Mobility Services based on IMS(IP Multimedia
Subsystems).
Celuler Approach
 IP based Mobile broadcasting networks
 Application to mobile terminals.
 It is BEARER AGNOSTIC- any broadcasting
distribution network can be adopted as its distribution
networks.
Internet Approach
 Already counties video services.
 Quality of service not guaranteed.
 Highly diversified and dynamically independent.
 Mobile devices – Internet –various wireless networks
