You Are The Reason

Calum Scott sings "You Are the Reason", expressing his deep love for someone and willingness to do anything to be with them again. He says he needs them now as his heart keeps bleeding and he's losing sleep without them. The song uses hyperbole to say he'd climb every mountain and swim every ocean just to fix what he's broken with this person. It's a message about sticking with someone through difficult times because the fundamental love overrides other problems.

YOU ARE THE REASON LYRICS
There goes my heart beating There goes my hand shaking
'Cause you are the reason And you are the reason
I'm losing my sleep My heart keeps bleeding
Please come back now I need you now
There goes my mind racing If I could turn back the clock
And you are the reason I'd make sure the light defeated the dark
That I'm still breathing I'd spend every hour, of every day
I'm hopeless now Keeping you safe

REFF BACK TO REFF

(I don't wanna fight no more)
I'd climb every mountain (I don't wanna hurt no more)
And swim every ocean (I don't wanna cry no more)
Just to be with you (Come back, I need you to hold me closer now)
And fix what I've broken You are the reason, oh
Oh, 'cause I need you to see (Just a little closer now)
That you are the reason (Come a little closer now)
(I need you to hold me tonight)
