Advanced and Complex Formulas and Computations: (Spreadsheet)

Spreadsheets allow users to organize data into rows and columns to easily sort and arrange information. They can also perform complex calculations by using formulas that reference cell values. Functions are preset formulas that use the equal sign followed by the function name and arguments in parentheses to tell the spreadsheet what calculation to perform on the data. Spreadsheets are a unique and powerful tool for working with numerical data through formulas and functions.

SPREADSHEET
A spreadsheet or worksheet is a
file made of rows and columns
that help sort data, arrange data
easily, and calculate numerical
data.
What makes a spreadsheet
software program unique is its
ability to calculate values
using mathematical formulas
and the data in cells.
FUNCTION
is a preset formula. Like formulas,
function begins with the equal sign (=)
follow by the function’s name and its
arguments. The function name tells the
Excel what calculation to perform. The
arguments are contained inside round
brackets.
