ASTROPHYSICS

CONTENT

• Astrophysics (Astro = star, physics = nature) is aiming to explain the nature

of space and that includes physical properties of stellar objects such as
neutron stars and black holes, An expansion of cosmology. The
astrophysics is a science that explores physics which is theoretical
astrophysics on a much larger scale.
ASTROPHYSICS

• Astrophysics is a branch of astronomy that applied laws of physics and chemistry

to explain the death of the stars, life, birth, planets, galaxies, etc… the theoretical
use wide tools that include analytical models (mathematical models are used in
the natural science).
• The topics studied by astrophysics include galaxies information and evolution, the
origin of cosmic ray. The majority of astrophysics observations are made using
electromagnetic spectrum.it is using the telescope and other astrophysics
apparatus. astronomy is the study of planets, galaxies, star, and phenomena of
earth outer space. The moon is an astronomical body that a grey, dry, airless, and
lifeless ball of the rock the moon -is earth closest neighbor in space. The moon is
about a quarter of the earth size and its only natural satellite. The average distance
of the moon is 384.402km. its surface is actually dark compared to night sky its
moon is bright.
• Sun is the center of the solar system and its perfect sphere. its diameter is
1.39milion kilometers. It consists of hydrogen and helium and a small content of
oxygen and carbon etc..

ASTRONOMY

• Astronomy is a natural science that studies celestial objects. It

applies mathematics, physics, and chemistry in an effort to explain
the origin of those objects and phenomena and their evolution.
Objects of interest include planets, moons, stars, galaxies; the
phenomena also include supernova explosions, gamma-ray bursts,
and cosmic microwave background radiation. More generally, all
phenomena that originate outside Earth's atmosphere are within
the purview of astronomy. A branch of astronomy called cosmology.
• Astronomy is the oldest of the natural sciences. The early
civilizations in recorded history, such as the Greeks, Indians,
Chinese, and many ancient indigenous peoples of the Americas,
performed methodical observations of the night sky. Historically,
astronomy has included disciplines as diverse as celestial
navigation, observational astronomy, but professional astronomy is
now often considered to be astrophysics.
