Simple Future
Simple Future has two different forms in
English: "will" and "be going to."
USE 1 "Will" to Express a Voluntary
Action
"Will" often suggests that a speaker will do
something voluntarily.
we use "will not" or "won't" when we refuse to
voluntarily do something.

Examples:
I will send you the information when I get it.
I will translate the email, so Mr. Smith can
read it.
USE 2 "Will" to Express a Promise
Examples:
I will call you when I arrive.
FORM Will:
[will + verb]
Examples:
You will help him later.
Will you help him later?
You will not help him later.
What will you do?

Affirmative subject + will + complement

I will go to New York - Iré a New York
He will go to New York - El irá a New York
Negative subject + won't (will not) +C
I won't go to New York - No iré a New York
He won't go to New York - El no irá a New York
Interrogative Will + subject + C ?

Will he go to New York ? - ¿Irá él a New York ?
USE 2: "Be going to“
Express a Plan
"Be going to" expresses that something is a
plan. It expresses the idea that a person
intends to do something in the future.
Examples:
He is going to spend his vacation in Hawaii.
She is not going to spend her vacation in
Hawaii.
BE GOING TO
Use:
• To express an intention .
• to express a prediction based on something we
can observe now.
Ex : It is going to rain

Form: be going to + infinitive without to
