OIL PLANT DIVISION
• Plant Operation Assistant
Tasks:
• to observe and learn how all the plants operate;
• to familiarize myself with the different equipment and
processes involved in their operations;
• to understand the underlying principles;
• to monitor and record pertinent equipment parameters,
such as temperature and pressure, at the oil extraction
plant;
• and to operate some of the controls at the seed
preparation and oil extraction plants.
OIL PLANT DIVISION
• Can be further divided into three:
1) Seed Preparation Plant
2) Oil Extraction Plant
3) Refinery Plant

• Produces full fat, soya meal, and soya oil


Full Fat – soya oil is not extracted

For Full Fat:
• Is where the soya flakes are toasted, dried, and
cooled in the DTDC
For Soya Meal:
• Is where soya oil is extracted from the soya flakes;
• Then the meal is Desolventized, toasted, dried, and
cooled in the DTDC;
• While the miscella goes to the distillation system to
separate the solvent from the oil.
• Then the solvent goes to the solvent recovery system.
