• Always log off from your computer or your online accounts.
• Install an updated anti-virus and fire-wall software.
• Do not leave your computer or devices unattended.
• Do not talk to strangers online.
• Do not give personal information, files, or computer access to strangers.
• Avoid use the “auto-fill” function for online accounts and forms.
• Use a primary email and secondary email.
• Beware of online scams — never accept free gifts online.
• Be wary of unexpected emails with attachments.
• Do a spyware scan often.
• Invest in data backup (e.g. external drive or server).
