INTRODUCTION
• What is Marks Management System?
• Workbook maintained on excel to automate the marking and grading of students in a class
• Caters to mainly two users: Teachers and Students
• Teachers get a detailed analysis of the performance of the class
• Students get their individual performance statistics

• Why is Marks Management system needed?


• To have an offline repository of individual student’s performance in different subjects as well as
over-all performance of the class
• To be able to analyze the details and monitor continuously on the class performance and bridge
the gaps, if any
• To automatically generate performance graphs as the semester progresses
OBJECTIVE
• To build a central repository of class performance in different subjects and
their subsequent evaluative
• To build two different segments with different accesses for teachers and
students respectively
• To keep a different access for the central data
• To be able to add or modify data centrally and reflect the same on the
subsequent analysis
• To keep access of the sheets restricted to specific users

LIMITATION AND FUTURE SCOPE OF
IMPROVEMENT
• Limitation:
• A student cannot view the individual marks of a particular evaluative of a particular subject
• Every student is able to view every other enrolled student’s marks breaching their privacy

• Future Scope:
• Individual log in facility for every student and instructors giving specified view to respective
subjects.
• Addition of features like attendance monitoring, assignment submissions, email notifications.
• Segmentation of the total marks and automatically generating grades as per the relative
grading system
