Assertive Discipline for Teachers

Assertive discipline involves setting clear classroom rules and consistently enforcing positive and negative consequences to encourage appropriate student behavior. Teachers should state expectations assertively but calmly, build relationships with students, and respect student rights while maintaining an optimal learning environment. Both rewards and punishments are part of an effective discipline plan, with the goal of positively influencing behavior.

best interest and the best interest of others.
I will immediately reinforce and recognize
