ABSTRACT
Gas leakages and fire outbreaks in industries as
well as houses have lead to wide destruction and
losses in the past. Gas leakages and fire outbreaks both
spread widely and lead to even greater loss of life and
property if proper action is not taken on time. So here
we propose a system that detects gas as well as fire
outbreaks and alert us accordingly so that proper
GENERAL
Gas leakages are one of the major reasons
behind fires and blast accidents. Here we propose an
automated gas detection and accident avoider system.
The system automatically detects gas leakages. If the
leakage is detected system automatically starts exhaust
fan.
EXISTING SYSTEM
In the existing method, different gas sensing
technology is used. The LPG gas leakage is detected
by the semiconductor sensor. Nowadays LPG
accidents occur very common. The main reason of
these accidents is due to the leakage of LPG. This
leakage of LPG starts when we forget to close the
main regulator valve. This is the basis of these kinds
of accidents.
SCOPE OF THE PROJECT
The circuit is basically on the gas sensor, temperature sensor
and the Programmable Integrated Circuit (PIC). The gas sensor and
temperature sensor could be treated, basically as variable resistor
which value depends on gas concentration in air and temperature
changes respectively. Both of these sensors have high sensitivity.
The gas sensor chosen is MQ2.
EXISTING SYSTEMS TECHNIQUE
It is known that many existing technologies have been
implemented in the past for effective fire detection system in a
real-time environment which faces a significant drawback in the
transmission of data over a considerable distance. A long-distance
data transmission using normal communication cable can lead to a
drop-in signal, hence making it inconvenient for long distance data
transfer.
LITERATURE SURVEY
In this paper, authors propose a new to work against the
dangerous effects of gas `sighting technique. The occurrences
of gas leak-related incidents are studied by several researchers
and have published statistical data incidents. In 2012,
reported “Energy-Aware Gas Sensing Using Wireless Sensor
Networks” focusing on a sensor node
PROPOSED SYSTEM
“The detection of LPG/CNG gases has become a main issue
due to more wellbeing policy wide-reaching.” These sensors can be
used for various applications, e.g. monitoring and controlling of the
explosive level of concentration of gases, finding of various
harmful, dangerous, toxic gases, industrial automation etc. In
recent years, the biggest advancement made in the sensor tools is
the detection of liquefied.
PROPOSED SYSTEM TECHNIQUE
• Fires cause serious damage and disrupts daily life in a devastating
manner. Hence preventing them or reducing their effects is a top
priority. Though there are many systems that have been created to
tackle this problem, false alarms is a challenge that is yet to be
avoided. In our model, the place to be monitored is under
constant surveillance by a closed-circuit television. At tactical
points, a number of sensors are placed.
ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED TECHNIQUE
• This project is used as a security system in applications like homes,
Hospitals, hostels, industries.
• Because of its low power consumption, reliability, portability this
system used in other applications like smoke detection.
• It is very useful in-house for detecting LPG gas, which can cause
huge loss of property and life.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
• Gas leakages and fire outbreaks in industries as well as

company, project and user communication that
designs and manufactures single-board
microcontrollers
FLAME SENSOR
• A flame detector is a sensor designed to detect and respond to
the presence of a flame or fire. Responses to a detected flame
depend on the installation, but can include sounding an alarm.
LED
• A light-emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor light
source that emits light when current flows through
it. Electrons in the semiconductor recombine with electron
holes, releasing energy in the form of photons semiconductor.
BUZZER
• Application Buzzer is a small yet efficient component to add
sound features to our project/system. It is very small and
compact 2-pin structure hence can be easily used on , Board
and even on PCBs which makes this a widely used
component in most electronic .
RESISTORS
• A resistor is a passive two-terminal electrical component that
implements electrical resistance as a circuit element. In
electronic circuits, resistors are used to reduce current flow,
adjust signal levels.
SMOKE SENSOR
MQ6 smoke sensor is an electronic sensor used for
sensing the concentration of gases in the air such as
LPG, propane, methane, hydrogen, alcohol, smoke.
ADVANTAGES
• Because of its low power consumption, reliability, portability
this system used in other applications like smoke detection.
• It is very useful in-house for detecting LPG gas, which can
cause huge loss of property and life.
DISADVANTAGES
• False alarms can disrupt work at any place.
• False alarms are when a technical issue sets off the alarm
while creating a ruckus in the vicinity.

CONCLUSION AND FUTURE SCOPE
• The project present user friendly and low cost home and
industrial security systems. It’s a real time security purpose
system developed with simple hardware which simplifies the
possibility of error free security system
• In future we can use this project in several applications by
additional components to this project.
