3 INTRODUCTION

The Students’ Industrial Work Experience Scheme is a


planned and supervised training intervention based
on stated and specific learning and career
objectives, geared towards developing the
occupational competencies of the participants.
4 Company’s Profile

 Etina Environmental services Limited is a registered


organization with our focus mainly Assessment,
Management and consulting on a board range of
environmental studies, systems and concerns
 EESL is permitted by the Department of Petroleum
Resources(DPR), The Federal Ministry of Environment, The
Federal Ministry of Labour and Productivity, State
Environmental Protection Agencies and State ministries of
environment to carry out laboratory, environmental and
consulting services.
 EESL is also National Oil Spill Detection and Response
Agency(NOSDRA) accredited consultants as well as being
on NipeX platform.

 Difficulty in getting attachment at a company relevant


to my course of study
 Less contract at hand as at the period of SIWES training
 Didn’t get the opportunity to go on site(offshore).
 More industrial training opportunities

 SIWES was a great experience and exposed me a lot of


oil and gas industry related activities.

 It has further increase my interest in the oil and gas


industry and my drive to come up with innovations
