HOW WE JOIN ETHIO TELECOM
The curriculum of Wolaita Sodo University states that, when the students of college
of engineering are 4th year 2nd semester they should be sent to the company to
accomplished the internship program. According to this we got an acceptance in
ethio telecom with the help of our university UIL.
FAN can perform different task like:
 Data
 Internet and
 Fax
It consists of the physical media:-
 Access media (copper, fiber)
 Networking Device(router, modem, switch…..)
 CCC(cross connection cabinet)
 MSAG box

INTRODUCTION ABOUT FIBER

 It is a transmission media which is a back bone to a telecommunication


system
 It is transmit data in the form of the ray (light caring core) .
There are two major type of fiber
 Multi mode
 fiber Single mode fiber
Fiber Optic Cable Construction :-Core, Cladding, Coating, Strengthening
fibers and Cable jacket

 Power meter:- used to measure the power loss and gain between the two
MSAG which linked by fiber cable.

 OTDR machine:-used to identify and
analysis reflecting and non-reflecting event that
cause disturbance in an optical fiber cable link.

 Wire stripper :-it used to stripe the coat from core of fiber
 Cleaver:-it is one of fiber material that used for designed fiber for splicing .

.Our performance at the company


We punctual on our work and honest.
We perform all things what our supervisor told us and we try to create new thing
beside to his command.
Challenges I have been facing while performing my work task

 Lack of material access such as pc/computer.


 Very busy staffs including our supervisor.
 Unwillingness of some professional worker to share their experience &
practical knowledge
