Marriage Is A Divine Reality: Iii. Basic Realities and Christian Dimensions of Marriage

The document discusses marriage as a divine reality instituted by God, and the sacrament of marriage between baptized Christians. It describes marriage as a sacrament in three stages: consecration at the wedding at Cana, being given essential properties through Jesus' disputes with the Pharisees, and being brought to its original state with necessary graces after Jesus' resurrection. The sacrament of marriage is a sign symbolized by the couple's mutual gift and acceptance of each other, and it provides the saving graces of Christ's presence and strength to couples.
