I-BSC side
In this step according to the RNP planning
we choose the subrack where is locate the
BTS. The PEUB and the SPU (XPU)
should be locate on this subrack.
I-1 IP address planning
• PEUB/ BCIM address:
For this bords we use 168 network
segment.the second digit calculated by the
following formula:subrackNo*20+unit of
slot No. Set the third digit to 0 for the
PEUB and to the link group number for the
BCIM. Set the fourth digit to 1 for the
PEUB and 2 for the BCIM.
I-1 IP address planning
• MLPPP Local and Peer ADDR :
Set the ip addresses in the 172 network
segment. the second digit calculated by
the following formula:subrackNo*20+unit
of slot No. Set the third digit to the link
group number. Set the fourth to 1 for the
BSC and 2 for the BTS
I-2 steps of data configuration
• Abis interface link mode:
ADD MLPPPLNK: FN=2, SN=27, MLPPPGRP=1, LNKLST="1", E1T1LST=“0",E1T1MODE=E1,
E1TSBITMAP=TS_1&TS_2&TS_3&TS_4&TS_5&TS_6&TS_7&TS_8&TS_9&TS_10&TS_11&T

• OML link:
ADD BTSOMLNK: BTSID=1003, SPUFN=2, IFBSN=27, LM=MLPPP,
BCIMIP="168.47.0.2", MLPPPGRP=0;
• Signaling link:
ADD BTSSIGLNK: BTSID=1003, SPUFN=2, IFBSN=27, LM=MLPPP,
BCIMIP="168.47.0.2", MLPPPGRP=0;
Traffic link:
ADD BTSTRFLNK: BTSID=1003, SPUFN=2, IFBSN=27, LM=MLPPP,
BCIMIP="168.47.0.2", TRFLNKFLG=0, MLPPPGRP=0;
I-2 steps of data configuration
• Cell and Sector:
ADD CELL: BTSID=1003, FN=2, CN=1003, SCTIDLST="0", PNLST="88", SID=8704, NID=1,
PZID=1, LAC="0x102", LCN=1003, LSCTID="0", ASSALW1X=NO, ASSALWDO=NO,

UNBLKFWDEQLCHANTHD=40, DOUSERCOUNTTHD=20, DOAUTODWNCOUNTTHD=600,
DOUNBLKUSERCOUNTTHD=40, CTLAC="0xFFF";
NB: We should add cell for 1x and EVDO services. The Cell No
for the EVDO start by 15xx.
You must separate the Sector ID Lists and Pseudo Noise Code Lists
entered by commas.
I-2 steps of data configuration
• carrier of local BSC:
ADD CDMACH: CN=1003, SCTID=0, CRRIDLST="11", BNDCLS=BC800,
ARFCNLST="185", TYP=CDMA2000, IFBCDMACH=NO, CCLMFLG=NO,
ECCLMFLG=NO, IFTCDMACH=NO, AUTODWNCDMACH=NO;
• Add BTS:
ADD BTS: BTSID=1003, OMCIP=’129.11.99.235’, BTSTP=DBS3900_CDMA;
I-3 Commissioning
NB:
• BTS ID must be consistent with the ID which is already
configured in BSC side. (ADD BSCBTSINF).
• Use CLR CBTSCFG to clear the current configuration data of
the BTS .
II-1 Steps of the configuration
• Cell cfg:
ADD CBTSCELL: BTSID=1003,LOCALCELLID=1003,LOCALSECTORID=0;
ADD CBTSLNK:BTSID=1003,BRDTP=UTRP,BRDID=4,LNKID=0,LNKGRPID=0;
II-1 Steps of the configuration
• Signaling link and traffic link cfg:
ADD CBTSTERSIGLNK:BTSID=1003,IPVER=IPV4,BSCIP="80.144.16.131",BTSIP="80.126.4.17
",BTSSNM="255.255.0.0",BRDTP=UTRP,BRDID=4,ABISLNKTP=CDMA1XONLY,BEARERTP=IP,P
ERIP="168.47.0.1",PROTOCOLTP=TCP;
ADDCBTSTERSIGLNK:BTSID=1003,IPVER=IPV4,BSCIP="80.144.16.131",BTSIP="80.126.4.17",B
TSSNM="255.255.0.0",BRDTP=UTRP,BRDID=4,ABISLNKTP=CDMADOONLY,BEARERTP=IP,PE
ERIP="168.47.0.1",PROTOCOLTP=TCP;
ADDCBTSIPTERTRFLNK:BTSID=1041,IPLNKID=0,SVCTP=ALL,BRDTP=UTRP,BRDID=4,BUFFM
NUM=3,LNKLAYERTP=PPP,LNKGRPID=0;
NB: for each service we should configure a signaling link. One traffic link is used the both service.
Use LST BTSLNK to query BTSIP address for signaling link and LST SUBSYSTEM to query
BSCIP address.
II-1 Steps of the configuration
• RF module cfg:
ADD CBTSTRM:BTSID=1003,TRMID=0,RCKTP=RRU,TRMDES="RRU0",MASTERBRD=CPM2,F
IBPN=0,FIBTS=0;
ADD CBTSSECTORCARRIER: BTSID=1003, LOCALCELLID=1, LOCALSECTORID=0, CRRID=0,
TRMID=0,CPLID=0,HPBFLG=NO;
NB: we have three RRUs to configure and each one is connect to one optical port of the HCPM.
