WEEKLY JOURNAL
In the first week of my work immersion, I find it exciting
and beneficial. It was my first time to experience how to be
an employee even though I am still a student. The staffs are
very open and generous to us in which made us feel like we
are part of the management.
In the first day, we have introduced ourselves to the
management staff of SMMPCO. After that, they also
introduced themselves to us. After knowing each other
they have given us our task. I was assigned to update the
ledgers deposit. At first, it was difficult. I also made
mistakes so I ask Ma’am Elena for some help and then she
taught me. Then it made me finish the task faster and
easier.
I also learned how to update the share capital book.
We also went to the field in which we helped the staffs
in buying some things that are needed.
We have also met the honorable directors of
SMMPCO. They are very generous to us in which they
treat us like we know each other for a long time. They
throw jokes with us and they talk to us kindly in which
makes us feel comfortable in the environment of the
workplace.
The struggle I faced this week and the
following week was the location of the
workplace which is far from our house. But
instead of taking it as a problem, I made
that as an inspiration. Moreover, I enjoy
walking with my group mates.
This week was very memorable for me. I
never felt even a bit of stress. The work was
not hard. Yet, I learned new insights and
knowledge.
In the second week, I have learned how to
record inventory. We are taught by Sir Ryan.
We have counted boxes and bottles of
pesticides, molluscides, sack of rice and
thousand of sacks.
The struggle I faced this week was my
cough and cold. I am also sick in which this
made me feel weak. Another issue was the
dusk in the stock room which is coming inside
my nose. But, I still manage to do the task
assigned to me. This doesn’t stop me for
finishing my tasks. After we count the stocks, I
encoded the recorded inventory.
All in all, this is another lesson that I
learned in a workplace. I learned how to
record inventory. Also, I learned that having
sickness in the workplace is a hindrance
because it can make you feel weak which
makes you feel uncomfortable and may
affect your performance in the workplace.

HIGHLIGHTS
The Highlight of my experience in work immersion was when I
got close with my group mates and build a new relationship with
the management staff of SMMPCO.
This made me realize that socializing in a positive manner to
other people especially inside the workplace has a big impact.

FINAL WORDS
My work immersion experience was very
memorable and beneficial for me. I learned
different tasks and activity in the workplace. Most
of all, I learned how important it is to get along
with your officemates.
Work immersion is indeed necessary to
students because the program expands the
student’s knowledge as it helps the students
explore and improve their skills in actual work
area. Work immersion is the launching step to
students’ knowledge actual working experience.
We, as a learner can practice applying the lesson
we have learned in our schools and discover that
there are still a lot more to learn from the actual
working field.
This journey has been memorable for me.
Being a part of the group deployed in San Manuel
Multi-Purpose Cooperative has been a blessing for
me. Aside from those lesson that they taught us, it
has been an honor to know such great officemates
like them. I wholeheartedly thank the staffs of
SMMPCO for being generous and accommodating
to us. This is an unforgettable experience in my
life.
