Natural Integration

Natural learning is a philosophy that believes children learn according to their own rhythms and capabilities. It trusts that each child can learn in their own unique way and time. Natural integration means learning is integrated naturally through experience rather than verbal lessons. Students set their own environment for learning comfortably and get assistance from others as needed. They also explore content online and through real-life objects to support deep, meaningful learning in a real-world context. Natural integration is a conscious decision that different learning activities should occur naturally without the institution of a school.

NATURAL

INTEGRATION
NATURAL LEARNING
• Natural learning is a philosophy that encompasses
two major beliefs: Children develop skills and learn
according to their own natural rhythms, and we trust
that each child is capable of learning on their own
continuum and in their own time and their own
unique way. In natural integration, learning is
integrated naturally, that is the schoolers should be
given little verbal lessons; one should be taught by
experience. This fights for free expression of
children's natural instincts to learn and the
substitution of observation of nature for books and
classical studies.
In natural learning…
• Students are the one’s etting up environmental
conditions for themselves – often in comfortable
furniture sitting and laying in positions that work for
them; eating and drinking when desired; going to the
bathroom when needed and by not asking for
permission.
• Moving around and engaging in distractions which
can help in processing information.
• Asking others for information, ideas, and help on an
as needed basis.
• Getting online to explore personalized inquiry about
the content they are learning about.
• Interacting intimately with content related, real life
objects.
• Learning in a context where that learning real world
applications. Deep and meaningful learning occurs
within a context.
• Watching and learning from those more experienced
than them. Now with technology, this observation can
come in the form of videos, social media, and live
communication networks such as Skype and Google
Hangouts.
NATURAL INTEGRATION

• Natural Integration is a conscious

decision that learning of the different
activities to ensure harmonious
functioning is should take place in a
natural manner without recourse to the
institution of school.
