• Make polite requests, ask for permission, accept or refuse permission.
• Make a phone call, answer or transfer phone.
• Catch information over the phone
• Take, leave or pass messages.
CONTENTS
 Topics: Telephone language, making contacts and exchanging information over phone
 Language: Polite requests, asking, accepting or refusing permission.
 Skills : - Listening to check information, answering phone, requesting a person or services, transferring a phone
call
 - Reading about the speaking tips for the telephone.
 Key activities: Role-play, listening and practicing the dialogue.
UNIT 2: GREETING VISITORS
OBJECTIVES :
By the end of the unit, students will be able to:
• Understand and use the structures with their functions to greet visitors.
• Welcome the visitors, ask their need and giving respond.
• Develop the good behavior in receiving visitors
CONTENTS
- Topics: Welcoming visitors, making offers or requests.
- Language: Would you like ...? and Would you mind...? Expressions to welcome
visitors
- Vocabulary : - Making offers and requests
- Reading about the forms of communication
-Writing the situational dialogue
- Key activities: : Making a conversation, Listening and completing the dialogue
UNIT 3: BUSINESS CORRESPONDENCE
OBJECTIVES
At the end of the unit, students will be able to:
• Know well the form of emai, ,memo, minutes, reports.
• Talk about amount, figure, report or notice the events.
• Read and write the Memo, minutes, report in correct form.

CONTENTS
- Topics: Writing the email, memo, minutes, reports.
- Language: Form of Memo, minutes, reports, form and some expressỉon for each business letters: Order,
inquiry, complaint.
- Skills work: - Talking about the facts, rewriting the things happened.
-Translating the Memo, minutes, reports.
- Writing the memo, minutes, reports in the correct form.

UNIT 4: BUSINESS MEETING & DISCUSSION
OBJECTIVES
By the end of the unit, students will be able to:
- Communicate in business conversation
- Make polite requests and offeres.

CONTENTS
- Topics: Greetings, introductions, names and job titles.
- Language: Job titles, expression in office discussion, greetings, introducing to others
- Skills work:- Listening and checking personal information.
-Talking about one's jobs or job titles.
- Reading about some different greeting customs
- Writing a personal profíle.
- Key activities: Make a conversation, Listen and complete the dialogue (VCD)
UNIT 5: REVISION

OBJECTIVES :
By the end of the unit, students will be able to:

• Review all the structures and language functions from units 1-4
• Do exercises to practice skills work
UNIT 6: DEALING WITH FIGURES & NUMBERS
OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the unit, students will be able to:
 Report office report in different ways in expressing figures and numbers.
 Talk about the pricing of sales receipt.
 Report payment
 Use economic terms

 Topic: date of appointment, meeting- hour, payment, benefit, vacation time.
 Language: expression about time to schedules activities, currency, foreign exchange.
 Skills: - Talk about pay guide.

OBJECTIVES
By the end of the unit, students will be able to:
- Plan and arrange appointments
- Talk about future plans

 Topic: planning of a new sales office, parties, events, programs, appointment arrangement,

 Skills: Meeting: interrupting and clarifying
-Listening: The secret of good planning

UNIT 8: NEGOTIATING
OBJECTIVES:
By the end of the unit, students will be able to:
 Handle with business conflict.
