What is entrepreneurship?

 Entrepreneurship is the activity of setting up a business or


businesses, Taking on financial risks in the hope of profit.
The capacity and willingness to develop, organize and
manage a business venture along with any of its risks in
order to make a profit.
 The most obvious example of entrepreneurship is the
starting of new business.
What is profit?

 Profit is the positive gain remaining for a business after all


costs and expenses have been deducted from total sales.
Profit is also referred to as bottom line, net profit or net
earnings.
Why it matters?

 Profitis one of the most important measurements in


determining the health and success of a business.
However, the measurements of profit can vary and should
be considered with other factors.
Who is an entrepreneur and what do they
do?
 An entrepreneur refers to a person who has an innovative
business idea, who is willing to take the risk of
implementing the idea, and who also takes on the role as
leader of the company or organization- assuming full
responsibility for its execution, success, or failure.
