Toward An Effective Distribution Of
Resources
4 Major Directions To Determine The Type Of
Ecomic System:
1.Economic Theory
- income and employment
- use of money
- economic fluctuations
- growth-consumption
2.Methodology and measurement
3.Economic Policy
With faster economic growth, the percentage of
Filipino families living below the poverty line could
show marked decrease over time.
Meanwhile, economic development officers,
budget analysts, financial consultants, or market
analysts in governmental agencies and private firms
may implement economic policies that could bring
about desired positive effect in economic activities.
According to the 2012 Wealth Report, the
Philppines is predicted to post a GDP growth of 7.3
percent during the said period. This makes the
Philippines the sixth fastest growing economy in
the world.
• Aside from key positions in the government,
graduates of economics may also become
involved in the finance section, such as banking,
accountancy, tax, and insurnce. Other may get to
be employed in field of management, marketing,
CHALLENGES TO THE MODERN
FILIPINO FAMILY
The family is the major topic under the heading
of social organization being an area of study of
sociology. However, the study of family is not
exclusive to sociology or any single discipline for
the matter. Other disciplines, like psychology,
history, or economics, can will undertake their own
investigations w/ the families as the main subject
and w/ each discipline having its own assumption
and perspective tow.
•According to the eminent Filipino sociologist Belen
Medina " Family is an interdisciplinary study ."
•Using an economist perspective, one may
investigate family financial matters and rising cost of
living in the metropolis.
As a social scientist, one may study the various
challenges affecting filipino family. The processes of
modernization, urbanization and industrialization
have influences the outlook of family members on
several important matters pertaining to employment
opportunities, family structure and authority and
gender role.
Other phenomena that may be investigated by a
social scientist include the changing sex norms and
behaviour, envolving concept of marriage, effect
of migration, and the emergence of solo-parent
families.
To be more specific, they could work as a child
care worker, community organizer, family planning
worker, hospital administration, housing
coordinator, medical records worker, career
counselor, public assistance worker, rehabilitation
program worker, or youth outreach worker.
•Sociology - is one of the social sciences dealing w/
the scientific study of human interaction and
phenomena.
•Urbanization - the process by which towns and
cities are formed become larger as more and more
people begin living and working in central areas.
•Migration - to move from one country, place ,or
locality to another.
THE PHENOMENON OF
ENVIRONMENTALISM
History has proven that environmental
improvements depends directly on rapid economic
growth. For examples, if underdeveloped countries
insist on using traditional farming techniques
instead of adopting modern high-yield agriculture,
their farmers might be forced by hunger to level
huge tracts of lands.
With the unprecedented environmental
destruction happening at a fast pace, geographers,
demographers, and other relevant social scientist
may need to embrace the philosophy or ideology of
environmentalism that seek to improve and
enhance environmental health. Advocates of
environmentalism promote the preservation,
restoration, and enhancement of the natural
environment in the hope of striking a harmonious
balance between the human population and the
natural world.
In the philippines, we have witnessed the
vulnerability of our food security and agricultural
products or result of climate change disasters.
Greenhouse gases have been increassing due to
rush human activities. Time and again ,
occurrences of El Nino and tropical cyclones have
caused tremendous damage to the lives and
properties of affected Filipinos.
