Carla Browning has created a 90-day entry plan to help her forge strong relationships and learn about the school's history, current state, and future goals. The plan includes one-on-one interviews with teachers and staff, meetings to learn about core subjects, meetings with students and parents, and establishing digital communication and social media presence. 90-Day

Entry Plan
CARLA J. BROWNING
AUGUST 4, 2021
Statement of Purpose
The purpose of creating a 90-day plan is to help forge strong
relationships and learn about the school’s history, where we are
now, and where our stakeholders think we should go.

In following this plan, I will be able to make more informed

decisions and be far more equipped to guide stakeholders in
setting goals, creating strategic plans and mobilizing effective
strategies to support student learning and development.

Next Steps
To promote transparency (while
preserving confidentiality) some of the
results of face-to-face interviews and
group discussions should be shared with
everyone on staff. The results mean next
to nothing if they're not used to help
guide where we go from here; to keep the
pulse of the building. The steps taken in
the entry plan should be repeated on a
yearly basis to continue building trust
and encouraging transparency.
Reflection
Now that I’ve made a 90-Day Plan, I couldn’t imagine
entering an organization without an entry plan such as this
one.
With an entry plan in hand, I will be able to comprehend
“where we are,” after only about six weeks on the job.
However, I must keep in mind that there is still so much to
learn about my school and district. In other words, I need
to continue to ask questions and listen. I already know
that I will treasure the time to get to know everyone!
When it comes to efficiency, I believe having an entry plan
in place will help maximize work output in the first 90
days in a new position by creating specific, manageable
goals tied to the school mission and the role's duties and
expectations.
In the end, I look forward to our students ultimately
benefiting from this work.
