 The pattern of words that rhyme at the end of the


lines in a poem is called rhyme scheme.

 Letters of a the alphabet are used to describe the


rhyme of a poem.

 Ex. One day, I imagined, if there is another me (a)

How do I look, how do I think? (b)

But it is calm, low-toned and relaxed in reality.
In the other world, my skin changes into different colors,
But in our real world, that would be such a horror.
In that world, my tears are sweet like chocolate,
But here, my tears show my pain, worry, and hate

 It refers to the use of words that appeal to the senses

 It helps the reader form images in his or her mind.

 It can also take the form of sounds. (sound devices)

 1.) Onomatopoeia – It is a sound put into writing.

Ex. My voice sounds pitchy and squeaky.

 2.) Alliteration – It is the repetition of initial


consonant sounds.

Ex. Click, clank, clip says my shoes.


Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper.

 3.) Assonance – It is the repetition of vowel sounds.

Ex. Abbey Alvarez is an adorable artist.


The light of the fire is a sight.
