Rhyme Scheme
The pattern of words that rhyme at the end of the
lines in a poem is called rhyme scheme.
Letters of a the alphabet are used to describe the
rhyme of a poem.

Ex. One day, I imagined, if there is another me (a)
In a parallel universe, how would I be? (a)
How do I look, how do I think? (b)

But it is calm, low-toned and relaxed in reality.
In the other world, my skin changes into different colors,
But in our real world, that would be such a horror.
In that world, my tears are sweet like chocolate,
But here, my tears show my pain, worry, and hate

It refers to the use of words that appeal to the senses
It helps the reader form images in his or her mind.
It can also take the form of sounds. (sound devices)

1.) Onomatopoeia – It is a sound put into writing.
Ex. My voice sounds pitchy and squeaky.

2.) Alliteration – It is the repetition of initial
consonant sounds.
Ex. Click, clank, clip says my shoes.
Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled pepper.

3.) Assonance – It is the repetition of vowel sounds.
Ex. Abbey Alvarez is an adorable artist.
The light of the fire is a sight.
