Role Being Played by the Concerned Elected Representatives in Development of
Rurban Cluster
1. Active participation in Gram Sabha.
2. Regular presence & quick response, whenever attention required.
3. Participation in the camps & Chaupals for zero budget activities.
4. Followed proper due diligence process and adopted Bottom- up Approach.
5. Acts as an Agent to bridge the gap between People and Govt. Services.

and unity in villages, Samajikata, duties and responsibilities of citizen, governance,
various social issues, gender, water conservation etc.
4. Saturation of Cluster by Vermi – Compost / Nadep for Biodegradable Solid Waste
Management.
5. Saturation of Cluster by Soak- Pits for Liquid Waste Management.
6. Regular CLC/ DLC and SLEC meetings with all Stakeholders.
7. Involvement of local CSOs for hand holding support.

Ensuring O & M of Assets
1. Effective Asset Management by accountability of CBOs.
2. The GP & concerned Dept. / Agency have shared the responsibility.

Good Practices – Experience/ Challenges
1. Utilization of beneficiary contribution to inculcate a sense of ownership.
2. Concerned Departments have been contacted to saturate the basic, social and digital
amenities in Rurban clusters on priority basis.
3. Economy generation activities have been focused by the use of existing infrastructure
rather than new infrastructure development.
4. We are in Process to Brand our products of Rurban Cluster with brand name ( Such
as SANGOM in Birhu Cluster).

Achievement

In Skill Development Training Programmes (Computer, Vegetable cultivation, Vermi


composting, Mason, Wood craft, Achar Papad Making, Jewelry Making, Digital
literacy to 1 per HH) 1195 Beneficiaries have been trained so far with an expenditure
of Rs. 29.09 Lakhs.
Under Agri-Processing (Deep boring, Pump sets, Power tiller, Farm Implements, Seed
Manure, Bank loan to SHGs, Floriculture, Dobha, KCC, Mushroom Cultivation, Leaf
Plate Making) 429 beneficiaries have been benefitted so far with an expenditure of Rs.
137.38 Lakhs.
In Digital Literacy, more than 300 students from 4 Middle Schools are being provided
the computer education with an expenditure of Rs. 15.00 Lakhs.
For Sanitation purpose, 1138 households have been provided with the Individual
Household Latrines with an expenditure of Rs. 135.56 Lakhs and 1 Community Toilet
(Rs. 1.61 Lakh), 2 Bathing Ghats (Rs 2.43 Lakhs) have been constructed.
Achievement

For Liquid Waste Management 20 Soak Pits have been constructed with an
expenditure of Rs. 1.65 Lakhs).
For Street Lights, 447 Solar and LED Street Lights have installed with an expenditure
of Rs. 44.05 Lakhs.
For Health and Pre nursery education 2 Model ICDS Center have constructed with the
total expenditure of Rs 20.00 Lakhs.
A total of 27 Inter and Intra Village Road have been constructed with an expenditure
of Rs. 125.92 Lakhs.
Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna, 392 households have been provided with LPG
Connection with an expenditure of Rs 11.33 Lakhs.
Under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojna, 118 households have been benefitted with an
expenditure of Rs. 153.14 Lakhs.
