INTRODUCTION

An enterprise consists of various individuals grouped together to achieve common objectives. Every
individual is different from others , so we need a dynamic and dominating personality to bind
individuals together and motivate them to contribute their best efforts for achieving cherished goals
of the business. The person point it is the leader. Manager must possess the qualities of the leader,
so that he may motivate, stimulate, inspire, enthuse,direct and lead the workers in the interest of
enterprises .
MEANING & DEFINITION OF LEADERSHIP

Leadership is a process of social influence ,which maximises the efforts of others,


towards the achievement of the organisational goal.

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP
DIFFERENT STYLES OF LEADERSHIP
AUTOCRATIC LEADERSHIP STYLE

Autocratic leadership is a management style wherein one person contols all the decisions
And takes very little inputs from other grop members .

Autocratic leaders makes choices and decisions based on their own beliefs and do not
Involve others for their suggestions or advice.
DEMOCRATIC LEADERSHIP STYLE

Democratic leadership is a management style wherein employees have a say and input
into decisions that effects the business.

It allows workers a high degree of participation in the decision making process as well as
open communication channels between workers and management.
LAISSEZ-FAIRE LEADERSHIP STYLE

Laissez-faire leadership is a management style wherein the leader gives full freedom

to his subordinates to act on their own.


Here, the leader once defines the goals, policies, programmes and the limitations for action
And then leaves the remaining process to be accomplished by the subordinates on their own.
CONCLUSION

In summation, the role of leadership and management can work in different capacities,

yet be the same when developing an organization.


Leadership is nothing if it doesn’t build a systems based management structure, and management would
have to support without the work of leadership as the backbone of ideals.
As prospective leaders and managers in society, it is highly important to locate and cultivate a
