Follow up entries

After a basic availability entry all kind of follow-up entries are possible:
A#  Change to one day after previous entry date
A#2  Change to 2 days after previous entry date
A/QR  Display showing QR flights only
AR26JAN  Change to return availability with alternative date
A.D  Display direct flights only
Passenger Name Record

In the airline and travel industries, a passenger name record (PNR) is a


record in the database of a computer reservation system (CRS) that
contains the itinerary for a passenger, or a group of passengers
travelling together
Mandatory elements of a PNR

Itinerary creation

• Take availability
• Sell the required no of seats from availability window by :
N3V1(Where ‘N’ is the Function ID, 3 is the no of seats, ‘V’ is the class of
service and 1 is the line no)

• Additional info to the vendor which does not require immediate


action of the airline.
• Free text. Carrier related.
• When a passenger or segment is changed/deleted, the relevant OSI is
not automatically deleted.

• Airlines in the pursuit of customer loyalty have created many varied


loyalty programs generally known as Frequent Flyer.
• The following are frequent flyer related commands:

M.P2/LH123456789102  Frequent Flyer number added, passenger
selected.

passenger 1.

PNR History

When a BF is created, modified or cancelled, the details are stored in


the history of the PNR. It is possible to view the whole history or to
specify subjects.

Itinerary Pricing

Specific Passenger:
FQP1  passenger 1 only
FQP1-3  passenger 1 to 3
FQP2.4  passenger 2 and 4
Specific Segment(s):
FQS1 segment 1 only
FQS2-3  segment 2 to 3
FQS1.4  segment 1 and 4
Segments and Passengers:
FQP1/S2-3  segment 2 to 3, for passenger 1

Note : for destinations like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Egypt, Philippines, Jordan payable amount is calculated by
adding 5% of base fare on total. For all other destinations, 5% of total will be added to the total ticket value to calculate payable
amount.
Pricing with corporate account code

Some corporate accounts have special deals with Airlines. While


creating PNRs for such accounts, pricing entry will be followed by an
account code. Sample entry is given below.

Eg : FQ-REG57(where “REG57” is the account code)


Fare quote best buy

The Best Buy facility allows the user to obtain the lowest fare for an
itinerary.

FQBA  Cheapest fare, regardless of availability, for information only.


FQBB  Cheapest available fare.

Use *FF to redisplay filed fares.


Use “fxall” to delete filed fares.
Fares shopper

Fares shopper entries can be used to find lowest available fares for a
sector.

Ticket issuance

Once the PNR is created, follow the below procedures for ticket
issuance.

Use NA to add ARNK in the itinerary
