Prediction
Using ML
Here is where your Crop Prediction begins
Introduction
1. In India agriculture contributes approximately 23% of GDP and employed workforce
percentage is 59%.
2. The prediction of the yield of different crops may help the farmer regarding taking the
decision about which crop to grow.
3. The farmer can make a decision about crop choice and can contribute more to its profit.
4. This research proposes the Neural Network model to predict crop yield and success rate of
crop depending on the dataset provided by the Indian government.
5. A multilayer perceptron technique is used.

Motivation
1. India is an agricultural country India's economy is determined by agricultural products exports and
imports.
2. To fulfil future demand of food prediction plays major role.
3. Achieving maximum crop yield at minimum cost & minimum input variants.
4. Farmers failure to achieve the expected results and reduce crops spoiling.
5. Predict crop according to season in which were farmers lives.
Problem Statement
• The aim of the research is the development of the crop
yield prediction model by considering data by using
“Machine Learning Algorithms”.
System Architecture / Design Flow
Methodology
The Proposed study was conducted using ANN Algorithm in Python,Matplotlib and Seaborn which is used
for data [Link] ANN (ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK) Data Pre-processing and Data cleaning
processes are performed by Pandas library of python. Basically ANN used five steps for experiment that
are-:
1. Data collection
2. Data Wrangling
3. Data Pre-processing
4. Data Visualization (Different Visualization Library Used)
5. Exploratory data analysis (EDA)
Aim and Objectives of the Project
Why Crop Prediction ?
1. Unfavorable climates conditions.
2. The demand for crop production will increase by 60 percent.
3. In increasing world’s food demand.
4. Helps farmers to decide on “What to Grow and When to Grow”.
5. Eventually ,helps in achieving “ZERO Hunger”.
Aim and Objectives of the Project
How To Predict ??
1. There is scalable accurate and Inexpensive and a versatile method to predict crop yield i.e …
“ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK”.
2. Information processing architecture loosely modeled on the brain.
3. Consists of a large number of interconnected processing units.
4. Work in parallel to accomplish a global task.
5. Main function is to receive set of input perform progressively complex calculation and use output to solve
the problem.
Referred Dataset
• We are considering the dataset from the research paper.
• The dataset contains a number of crops such as Sunflower, Bajara, Jowar, groundnut, rice, cottonseed ,tur
etc.
• State-Maharashtra District- 'AURANGABAD', 'BEED', 'HINGOLI', 'JALANA', 'LATUR', 'NANDED',
'OSMANABAD’.
• Season- Kharif, Rabi,, whole year Year- 1997 to 2014
• Year- 1997 to 2014 Production- It is given in tons per hector in lakh
Graphs And Diagram
Conclusion
1. This yield prediction surely going to help farmers for
better decision making regarding crop harvesting.
2. The inclusion of ANN-like models in the field of
probabilistic modeling can provide techniques that
incorporate both explanatory models based and data-
driven approaches.
3. Hence, Artificial Neural Network is typically difficult
to configure and slow to train, but once prepared are
very fast in the application.
4. So model suggest best possible crop with highest
success rate.
