ART FORMS:
1.Cheongsam
• It is a typical, traditional and
feminine features body-hugging
dress in China.
Design: Repetition of image i.e., floral
or geometric shapes
Materials: cotton, rayon, and silk

2.Terracotta Warriors
• it is a collection of terracotta
sculptures depicting the armies of
Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of
China.

• the god of Agriculture and

•It is the art of applying paints to
surfaces to convey a message or
information.
TWOTYPES OF CHINESE PAINTING
PAINTING
1.THE VERTICAL WALL
SCROLL-
which is put on display for special
occasions and afterwards rolled up and
stored in a wooden box.
PAINTING
2.THE HORIZONTAL
HAND SCROLL-
where the long strip of silk of paper is
gradually rolled off one wooden roller
on to another to reveal only a small
section of the work at a time.
JAPAN
ART FORMS
Kimono and Cherry blossoms
• The images of these two symbolize
Japan.
Kimono- traditional Japanese garment and
national dress of Japan.
Cherry Blossoms- has been celebrated in
Japan for many centuries and holds a
particular place in Japan culture.
ART FORMS
EBISU
God of Sea and Marine life.
Ebisu is a Japanese god of luck, wealth, and prosperity,
particularly where the sea is concerned; he is also the patron
god of fishermen. Perpetually smiling and often dressed as a
fisherman, Ebisu is one of the Seven Lucky Gods, and is in
fact the only one original to Japan. His image has seen
widespread use throughout Japan due to his close
association with both the wealth of the sea and business
prosperity.
JAPAN PAINTING
•Japan painting reflects a refined and serene
sense of dignity. Japanese art is valued not
only simplicity, but also for its colorful
exuberance.
ORIGAMI
•“Ori” means folding and “kami or gami”
means paper.
•The Japanese art of folding paper into shapes
that look like birds, animals, flowers and etc.
