Hardware
Hardware is a general term for the physical components
that make up a computer system, for example keyboard,
mouse, monitor, processor, circuit board and so on.
Computer hardware is made up of the processor
(System Unit) and peripherals.
Peripherals are computer hardware that are external to
the system unit but connect to it by cables or
wirelessly. Example keyboard, modem, printer, external
hard-drives, etc.
There are many hardware devices that can be put in five groups
Software

Application software
System software – programs that allow the
hardware to run properly and allow the user to
communicate with the computer ,e.g. operating
systems, utilities, library programs, etc.
Application software - programs that allow the user
to do specific tasks, e.g. spreadsheets, CAD
software, games, etc.
