SYSTEM
FOR
GOLDENSTATE
COLLEGE OF
KORONADAL, INC.
PROJECT TEAM:
HAKIM LADJAKAHAL
• Introduction
• Introduction
• The proponents’ study Grade Viewing focuses on the monitoring and management of
student’s grade and promotes transparency to give answer to the students’ doubts with
regards to their grades. The development of a system that will monitor the students’
grades of the students in Goldenstate College is expected to contribute to the
development of the school’s information system. The awareness of the students to their
grades will serve as a reliable reference to them to improve their studies to attain high
grades.
CHAPTER I
THE PROBLEM AND ITS SETTING
Web app:
1. To create a module that enable faculty to encode the prelim, midterm, and final grades on online grade
viewer.
2. To create a module that allows the registrar to change the grades submitted by the teacher.
3. To create a module that shows a guideline to follow on how to change grades once submitted.
4. To create a module that allows the admin to upload names of students enrolled.
5. To create a module that posts the important announcements from the school
Web Development
Web development is the work involved in developing a Web site for the Internet (World Wide
Web) or an intranet (a private network). Web development can range from developing a simple
single static page of plain text to complex web applications, electronic businesses, and social
network services. A more comprehensive list of tasks to which Web development commonly
refers, may include Web engineering, Web design, Web content development, client liaison,
client-side/server-side scripting, Web server and network security configuration, and e-
commerce development. Among Web professionals, "Web development" usually refers to the
main non-design aspects of building Web sites: writing markup and coding. Web development
may use content management systems (CMS) to make content changes easier and available
with basic technical skills.
Chapter II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE AND STUDIES/SYSTEM
• This figure above shows the current process of submitting grades, checking grades and
assignments to subjects for the teacher. First the teacher checks what subjects and schedule he/she
will be teaching. Then the registrar assigns the teacher to a subject and schedule. After that the
teacher will conduct a class and give projects to the student, and then the student will submit the
said projects or requirements given by the teacher which will be the basis of their grade. After
computing the student’s grades, the teacher will submit the grades to the registrar and the registrar
will encode it to the system. If the grades have been encoded to the system, the students go to the
registrar’s office to check their grades and the registrar will hand it to them in a printed form.
Chapter III
TECHNICAL BACKGROUND
• The figure above shows the project proposed. The process begins with the registrar posting
the assigned subjects and schedule for the teachers in the web system. Then the teacher
can access his/her account to check his/her own designated subject and schedules. Next
will be the natural process of giving projects and requirements, that will be submitted by the
students. Once the teacher is done computing the grades of the student, the student’s grade
will be submitted by the teacher to the registrar. After encoding the grades to the school
database, the registrar will post the grades to the web system. Lastly the student will have a
mobile app that is connected to the web system that allows them to view their grades.

METHODOLOGY
System Development
•
• In developing the Grade Viewing System for Goldenstate College the proponents have
decided to use the Waterfall Methodology to make it easy to execute. The proponents chose
to use this methodology to emphasize completing task sequentially and logically. The
proponents will be executing the task in a specific order to avoid returning to previous task
that they have completed what came before.
Chapter IV
METHODOLOGY
• Requirements Analysis
• The proponents gathered information on the process of viewing grades and assigning subjects to
the teacher and made a web and mobile system that help solve the problem. The web and mobile
system is about viewing and posting the grades and records of the students of Goldenstate College.
The proponents thoroughly reviewed the necessary requirements for the system to work.
Chapter IV
METHODOLOGY
• Design
• The Grade Viewing System is developed according to the information that the proponents
gathered. The design of the system will be based on the gathered information, and will have
features and functions that is needed for a more efficient way to view grades for Goldenstate
College
Chapter IV
METHODOLOGY
• Coding/Implementation
• In this part of the process, the proponents developed a system for Grade Viewing in Goldenstate
College. The system users are admin, registrar, student, and teacher. Each will have their own
respective account with different uses.
Chapter IV
METHODOLOGY
• Testing
• If the system has some problems or errors, it will need debugging and coding again
until the system is working properly and no issues are found, it means the system has passed the
testing stage and the proponents can proceed to the next stage.
Chapter IV
METHODOLOGY
• Operation/Deployment
• The system has passed the testing stage, and is working properly, the proponents will deploy the
system to the school and explain how it is used by the three users. In the presentation of the system
to the school. Three of the proponents will act as the three users involved in the system and show
the school how to use the system.
Chapter IV
METHODOLOGY
• Maintenance
• In order to improve and see what the system is lacking, maintenance will be performed.
Maintenance will include updating, patching or adding new functions that will be suggested by the
users.

Chapter V
CONCLUSION, RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
• Conclusion
• To sum up the proponents found that the system is functional and accessible when you have
internet connection the system incorporates a database that shall handle all information with
regards to the students and its transaction process. The system can help the students to get the
information from the actual source at their own convenient time through online. It gives the user to
acquired reliable grade viewing on the internet
Chapter V
CONCLUSION, RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
•The proponents conclude that the Grade Viewing System was indeed feasible to be implemented in the
campus. Moreover, it was proven that the system can let students view their grades anywhere as long as
the grade was already encoded or uploaded by the concern instructor or the registrar. The proponents
conclude that the Grade Viewing System is helpful for teachers, students and school admins.
•The proponents conclude that the Grade Viewing System for Goldenstate College upon system testing
all functions are running and the objectives of the project have been achieved.
Chapter V
CONCLUSION, RECOMMENDATIONS AND IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
• Recommendation
• From the findings and conclusions of the study, the following recommendations are requested:
1. The school should purchase domain name that could help the user to find the IP address easily
2. The system should have a pop up alert to know if the process has successfully done.
3. The system should have an email for the student grade report to the teacher.
4. The researcher further recommends that the developed Grade Viewing System needs to be studied more and enhance
more in terms of its function technicalities for there might be more to be considered on it before adopting and fully
implementing it on the campus. It was also recommended that the system will be hosted in a regular domain to further
test the system in terms of reliability.
