GIF tutorial
Open up your geometric edit, make sure it is a Photoshop document (PSD).
In your layers window make sure all of the layers are hidden except the full portrait layer.
(Click the eye icon to hide layer)
Click Window > Timeline.
Click the arrow next to Video Timeline.
Click 'Create Frame Animation'.
Click 'Create Frame Animation'.
Your timeline will show the first frame which should be your full portrait image (the layer that isn’t hidden).
Now click the ‘+’ to make a new frame. Whilst this frame is selected click the eye on ‘layer 1’.
Repeat the last step creating another frame and revealing another layer for the new frame.
Do this for all of your layers. You should have the same number of frames as you do layers.
Click play to see your GIF animated.
To save your GIF click File > Export > Save for Web.
When the Save for Web screen is open just make sure your Image size is W: 400px. Click Save.
