advent of the Islamic New Year by

MUHARRA globe. It is regarded as a pious

community. It is one of the four
sacred months of the year for
Muslims
• Battle of Karbala,, brief military
engagement in which a small party led by
al-Husain ibn ʿAli, grandson of the Prophet
Muharram(continued) Muhammad and son of ʿAli, the fourth
caliph, was martyred by an army sent by
Yazid .he was martyred on 10th Moharram
• The Month of Safar is a Holy Month
• Facts About The Month Of Safar is so
called because it was during

Safar. this month that the Arabs emptied


Makkah and traveled during this month.
Another school of thought says that the
name is derived from the fact that the
Arabs used to engage in wars with other
tribes during this month.
RABI-AL-AWWAL
•Rabi' al Awwal is a time for
renewal; being grateful to Allah swt,
reviving our connection with Him
and His Messenger by learning
more about the Qur'an and Sunnah.
It's a time to be thankful to Allah
swt for sending our beloved
Prophet (phub) to us to guide us to
His Light
Rabi-al-Thani
Rabi al Thani is the fourth month of the Islamic calendar and is
often referred to as Rabi al Aakhir. This month signifies practicing
no specific ritual as stated by the Shariah. The 11th of this month is
considered to be the death anniversary of Baghdadi saint, Shaikh
Abdul Qadir Al-Jilan
• Martyrdom of Hazrat Zaid (RA)
occurred in it. It is also linked
with the event of Hazrat Jafar's
JAMADA-AL- (RA) martyrdom. Lastly, Hazrat
Abdullah's (RA) martyrdom also
AWWAL happened in it. Prophet
Muhammad (PBUH) lost His
Grandfather, Abdul Muttalib (RA)
in Jumada-al-Awwal
• Jumada Al-Thani also consists of the birth
event and the passing of Fatimah Bint
JAMADA- Muhammad, who is also remembered as
Fatimah Al-Zahra, the youngest daughter of
AL-THANI the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and Khadijah.

events of Jumada Al-than
• Rajab is the month in which 'Alī
ibn Abī Talib, the first Imam of
Shia Muslims and fourth Caliph of

RAJAB.
Sunni Muslims, was born. Rajab is
also the month during which Isra'
Mi 'raj (journey from Mecca to
Jerusalem and then through the 7
Heavens to meet ALLAH ) of the
prophet, Muhammad, took place.

comes immediately before
the month of
Ramadan. Shaban acts as

Prophet (S.A.W) said,
“ Shaban is my
month. Shaban cleanses

• During the month of Ramadan, we don't eat
or drink between dawn and sunset. ... Fasting
is important during Ramadan as it allows us
to devote ourselves to our faith and come
closer to Allah. Fasting is one of the Five
RAMADAN Pillars of Islam, which form the basis of how
we live our lives.it is the one of most
important months .which teaches us to be
patient and tells us how the poor bear their
hunger.
SHAWWAL • One of the meritorious aspects
of the month of Shawwal is
that it has been chosen by
Allah for the celebration of
'Eid-ul-Fitr. ' This day is
designed as a sign of
gratefulness by the Muslims
on the accomplishment of
Ramzan and as a reward by
Allah
DHU- • It could possibly mean "possessor
or owner of the sitting and seating

QID'A of the four sacred months in


Islam during which warfare is
prohibited, hence the name

DHU-AL-HIJJ'AH
• This is a very sacred month in
the Islamic calendar, one in which
the Hajj (Pilgrimage) takes place as
well as the Festival of the Sacrifice.
"Dhu al-Hijjah" literally means
"Possessor of the Pilgrimage" or
"The Month of the Pilgrimage". ...
The Hajj is performed on the eighth,
ninth and the tenth of this month
