Relativity To The New
Testament and Its Blessing
Hebrews 5:1-10
Christ is our High Priest after the order of Melchisedec
who received tithes from Abraham. So just as Abraham
GAVE tithes to Melchisedec with the revelation of God as
Most High and Possessor of heaven and earth and that it is
from God ALL his riches came, so we too must give our
tithes with the revelation and the conviction of who Christ
is and that it is from Him we receive ALL our spiritual
blessings. (Eph. 1:3)
Obedience
• Hearing and hearkening to a higher authority
• A dutiful or submissive behavior with respect to another person
• Shama (Hebrew) - to hear intelligently
• Hupotasso (Greek for submit) -  to God Heb. 12:9, James 4:7, to
authorities Rom 13:1, 1 Pet 2:13, 5:5, to one another Eph 5:21-

Obedience Principle
Obedience is positioning yourself under the Lordship of Jesus Christ
and accepting His will as ABSOLUTE and DEFINITIVE and taking
the initiative to DO whatever He says. (Lk 6:46, Jn 2:5)
Faith, derived from Latin fides and Old French feid, is
confidence or trust in a person, thing, or concept. In the
context of religion, one can define faith as
"belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of
religion". Religious people often think of faith as
confidence based on a perceived degree of warrant, or
evidence while others who are more sceptical of
religion tend to think of faith as simply belief
without evidence.
Dictionary meaning: complete trust in someone or
something or strong belief in the doctrines of religion
based on a spiritual conviction rather than proof.
Biblical meaning: Heb. 11:1 – Now faith is the
substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things

Faith Is......
• The name given to the action we take based on our
conviction and understanding of God’s Word. Where there
is no action it is because there is no conviction. (James
2:17,20 & 26)
• Partnership with God in the light of His Word to get a
desired outcome. (2 Cor. 6:1)
• A system that was designed for believers to live by and walk
through (Hab. 2:4, Rom. 1:17, Gal. 3:11, The name given to
the action you take based on your conviction and
understanding of Heb 10:38)
• Obedience and consistency (Rom. 1:5, 1 Jn. 5:3-5)
Why Do Persons Not
Act in Faith?
• No Relationship with God. You cannot have faith in a God or in
someone you do not have a relationship with. (Matt. 11:28) The
Jewish people had all the writings of God yet they did not receive
Him ( Jn. 1:10-11) the end of your faith must be tied to a person or
something (Jn 14:12).
• The presence of obstacles
• Confidence in themselves, others and material things
• No conviction
• Doubt
• Fear
• Unbelief
