This document describes a rain detector project designed to protect clothes from getting wet during rain. It has two prototypes: 1) An automatic prototype that uses a rain sensor to detect rain and signals an Arduino board to activate a servo motor to move clothes to shelter. 2) A manual prototype where a rain sensor detects rain and triggers a buzzer, alerting a user to operate a motor via joystick to shelter clothes. The goal is to prevent injuries to housewives and seniors from hurrying to remove clothes from clotheslines in the rain.

Sudipto Sir | DHANBAD PUBLIC SCHOOL AIM The main aim of our project is to protect clothes from getting wet during rain. We have designed our project especially for house wives and senior citizens. We all have seen in our day to day life mostly in rainy seasons and even during unexpected rainfalls our mothers and sometimes our grandparents face hardship in drying clothes. In such situation of rain, they get troubled and tensed and sometimes in that tension they can hurt themselves as they hurry up to take off the clothes from clothesline mainly situated in an open space. Our main motive is to prevent such injuries and also protect the clothes from getting wet. HOW IT WORKS? If we come to the working of our project we have developed two prototypes one is completely automatically and the other one is manual. PROTOTYPES 1st Prototype 2nd Prototype This prototype is completely This one is a manual prototype here automatic if we come to the working we have used a DIY rain sensor which of our project, we used a rain sensor when detects rain send a signal the which when detects rain droplets buzzer and then the person residing send a signal to our control unit in the house will get to know that rain which is Arduino UNO which then is coming and he will use the joystick process signal and sends a signal to to operate the motor which will then servo motor which will help in taking help to protect the clothes from our clothes into shed. getting wet. MATERIALS REQUIRED Arduino UNO Rain Sensor MATERIALS REQUIRED Jumper Wires and Breadboard Servo Motor MATERIALS REQUIRED DC Motor 6-pin Switch CODE CIRCUIT DIAGRAM
